Keep Your Heart Fixed

Proverbs 3:21 (VOICE) My son, never lose sight of God’s wisdom and knowledge:

Beloved, keep your heart fixed upon My truth. Steadfastly meditate on My Word and listen for My voice. For I AM your compass, and I AM your true north. Without Me you make yourself vulnerable to deception, so grab hold and refuse to let go.

Resist the urge to stagnate in a place where you think you understand Me. For I embody the mysteries of the universe and My wisdom and understanding far surpass what you know and can conceive of. And yet, as you abide with Me and seek My face, I share liberally with you so be intentional to receive.  Continue reading “Keep Your Heart Fixed”

Wisdom of Truth

Psalm 125:3 (AMP) For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land of the righteous, So that the righteous will not reach out their hands to do wrong.

Beloved, resist the urge to cave to unrighteous ways simply because the world has seen fit to normalize them. My Word is a clear standard of measure – not so that you judge others, but so that you might rightly judge your own thoughts and actions. Use its wisdom to choose your path carefully.

My Word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path (Psalm 119:105). Would you choose to stumble in darkness when light is available for you? In the same way, rather than having your behavior mandated by the ever-changing whims of the world, be steadfastly rooted in Me and choose your path based on the wisdom of Truth.

Psalm 125:1-5 (AMP) Those who trust in and rely on the Lord [with confident expectation] Are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but remains forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the Lord surrounds His people From this time forth and forever. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land of the righteous, So that the righteous will not reach out their hands to do wrong. Do good, O Lord, to those who are good And to those who are upright in their hearts. But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways [in unresponsiveness to God], The Lord will lead them away with those who do evil. Peace be upon Israel.

Sincerity and Truth

Psalm 1:1 (VOICE) God’s blessings follow you and await you at every turn…When you avoid sin’s highway, when judgment and sarcasm beckon you, but you refuse.

Beloved, resist the urge to indulge in sarcasm regardless of how seemingly innocuous it may be. For careless words may wound as surely as the fiercest blade, and woe be to the one who uttered them.

Let your yes be yes, and your no be no, and let sincerity and truth ring from your mouth. For the heart and wellbeing of another far outweigh a moment’s thoughtless indulgence – when carefree becomes careless to another’s heart.

Psalm 1:1-3 (VOICE) God’s blessings follow you and await you at every turn: when you don’t follow the advice of those who delight in wicked schemes, When you avoid sin’s highway, when judgment and sarcasm beckon you, but you refuse. For you, the Eternal’s Word is your happiness. It is your focus—from dusk to dawn. You are like a tree, planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time; your leaves never fade or curl in the summer sun . No matter what you do, you prosper.

Embrace the Truth with Joy

Proverbs 12:15 (VOICE) Fools follow their own directions and think they are right, but wise people listen intently to advice.

Beloved, My sheep know My voice. So whether My breath flows from the mouth of a stranger, friend, child, or from heaven above, be wise enough to heed it. If you know Me, you will recognize My voice regardless of what vessel I use to deliver My words.

So remain humble and open. Strong convictions are good if they are rooted in Me, but, when founded in self-righteousness and pride, they are a stumbling block and an idol. If your beliefs are rooted in Me, they will not be shaken by humbly listening to those who would speak into your life.

Trust Me to lead. Trust Me to make truth clear. Be open to My direction and insight even if it challenges what you believe you know. For as you grow, I reveal more to you. I’m not changing, but as your ability to understand Me develops, so can I reveal new truths and aspects of My character that you might continue to grow. So be open and listen, and be ready to embrace the truth with joy.

Thwart Worry’s Attacks

Proverbs 12:25 (VOICE) The weight of worry drags us down, but a good word lightens our day.

Beloved, worry is a bully and a thief. It steals your peace and your time, all while agitating you and causing discomfort. So refuse to engage. Resist the urge to get sucked into its energy-depleting cycles and instead rest in Me.

When worries come to weigh you down, speak My truth to yourself. Be intentional to remind yourself of who I AM and who you are to Me. You don’t need to fear, for I AM faithful and good, and I love My children. So thwart worry’s attack by being steadfast in My truth and trusting My sovereignty.

Gelah Raz (the Revealer of Mysteries)

Daniel 2:22 (VOICE) He reveals deep truths and hidden secrets; He knows what lies veiled in the darkness; pure light radiates from within Him.

Beloved, seek Me and come prepared to explore. Boundless revelation is at My fingertips, and nothing is hidden from Me. Walk in My light of truth – absorb the warmth of its rays. No darkness can hide from Me, for darkness cannot combat light – it simply must surrender.

So stand with Me, and allow Me and the light of My love and countenance to illuminate that which was previously hidden in darkness and obscurity. Then allow seeing with new eyes and understanding by My Spirit to completely change the way you act and think.

But know, beloved, that to whom much is given, much is also required. So walk in the fullness of this increased wisdom and revelation with sobriety and circumspection. As you walk in the light, reflect the light, and move in love and grace. Continue reading “Gelah Raz (the Revealer of Mysteries)”

Let Me Guide You in Truth

Proverbs 3:5 (TPT) Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make.

Beloved, trust My perspective, for I see all and I see rightly. So when I call you beautiful, it is truth. And when I call you loved, it is fact. Refuse to allow the lies that have been reflected to you or your own insecurities to mar your perspective.

Trust that I see you in truth. Trust that I know you, and know that I find you worth knowing. With all your heart, let Me guide you to see the truth of who you are. And then choose to believe, for in doing so you acknowledge Me as being trustworthy. And remember, beloved, in not doing so, you do the reverse.

Simply Reflect Me

James 3:17 (NLT) But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

Beloved, the fruit of true wisdom is sweet. It is easily recognizable, and tastes of Me. It is pure and cultivates harmony. It builds up and encourages that which is good. It is founded in truth and My Word. It isn’t self-seeking or unkind. It’s merciful, and encourages goodness.

Those who walk in this wisdom, seek to understand. They listen well – to men and to Me. They embrace that which is right, and inspire righteousness and mercy. They refuse to walk in judgment, but rather from a heart of love they seek to bring all into alignment with Me. They are genuine, and walk in sincerity. Their ultimate goal is to simply reflect Me. Embrace Truth

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (VOICE) because a time will come when some will no longer tolerate sound teaching. Instead, they will live by their own desires; they’ll scratch their itching ears by surrounding themselves with teachers who approve of their lifestyles and tell them what they want to hear. They will turn away from the real truth you have to offer because they prefer the sound of fables and myths.

Beloved, resist the urge to find things to reinforce what you want to believe or what makes you comfortable, and instead open yourself to truth. Truth will not always be easy. Truth will often challenge you. But in the end, beloved, it is truth that sets you free.

So yield yourself to My Spirit’s correction – knowing I chasten those I love. Prepare yourself for being wrong, needing a course change, and not having it all figured out because all those things will happen. And whether those moments are received and handled with grace often determines what comes next.

Embrace truth, be open to the guidance of My Spirit, and trust My Spirit to move in the hearts of others. Absolve yourself of the false responsibility of changing anyone else’s mind – leave that to Me. Let your focus be on loving well and walking with Me in truth.

Embrace the Truth of Who You Are

Leviticus 2:13 (VOICE) You must salt every grain offering you bring so that the salt of your covenant with God will not be missing. You will season all of the offerings you present with salt.

Beloved, salt is essential. It is a necessary part that when missing is noticeably absent. It has a call and a purpose that is needed and undeniable. It is vital to life.

And, beloved, you are the salt of the earth. You are essential. You are life-giving. You are necessary and have purpose. Denying any of that doesn’t change the truth. So embrace the truth of who you are, how you’ve been made, and what you’ve been called to, for only in doing so can you reach your full potential and find true fulfillment.
