Wisdom Safeguards

Proverbs 3:21, 23-26 (VOICE) make decisions out of true wisdom…Then each one of your steps will land securely on your life’s journey, and you will not trip or fall. Your mind will be clear, free from fear; when you lie down to rest, you will be refreshed by sweet sleep. Stay calm; there is no need to be afraid of a sudden disaster or to worry when calamity strikes the wicked, For the Eternal is always there to protect you. He will safeguard your each and every step.

Beloved, walking in wisdom safeguards your steps. For as you live with clear conscience and are undergirded by unimpeachable integrity, you have nothing to fear. Everything that comes to you comes by My hand.

So rest assured that you are safe, and sleep the deep sleep of those with clear conscience. This doesn’t mean you won’t ever make mistakes, but rather that as you walk you are always seeking to align with the highest good – My perfect will, so when you find yourself out of step, you simply come back into alignment. So you rest securely in Me. That is wisdom and she holds you securely.

Proverbs 3:21-26 (VOICE) My son, never lose sight of God’s wisdom and knowledge: make decisions out of true wisdom, guard your good sense, And they will be life to your soul and fine jewelry around your neck. Then each one of your steps will land securely on your life’s journey, and you will not trip or fall.

Pools of Refreshing

John 5:2, 4 (TPT) Inside the city near the Sheep Gate there is a pool called in Aramaic, The House of Loving Kindness… an angel of God would periodically descend into the pool to stir the waters, and the first one who stepped into the pool after the waters swirled would instantly be healed.

Beloved, step into the pools of refreshing and find healing and rest for your soul. It is vital to stay soft and supple, for if you become dry and brittle it is far easier for you to be damaged or break. Make the time to pause. Rest and refreshing is not “doing nothing,” it is allowing you the time and space you need to stay healthy, alive, and vital.

Resist the urge to strive or “power through.” You are important enough to pause for, precious enough to tend to, and loved enough to be taken care of. So love yourself, even if at first you only do it because I love you. You are worth it.

Matthew 9:17 (TPT) And who would pour fresh, new wine into an old wineskin? Eventually the wine will ferment and make the wineskin burst, losing everything—the wine is spilled and the wineskin ruined. Instead, new wine is always poured into a new wineskin so that both are preserved.”

Lean into Me

Song of Solomon 8:5 (TLB) “Who is this coming up from the desert, leaning on her beloved?” King Solomon: “Under the apple tree where your mother gave birth to you in her travail, there I awakened your love.”

Beloved, lean into Me as I awaken your love for Me at new levels. Walk with Me in the cool of the day – allow Me to hold you close. For this is the place from which intimacy is born. Yes, it comes from the quiet moments of easy sharing that occur as you “do life” together.

So walk with Me, beloved. Share the things of your heart and listen as I share mine. Just as intimacy between a husband and wife occurs in the many moments of both casual and deep sharing, so it is with Me. So intentionally include Me in your daily life. Lean into Me.

Place of Overflow

Luke 10:40 (TPT) But Martha became exasperated by finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.”

Beloved, whatever you do, do with love. For the heart of the giver matters as much as the act itself. Sow what you sow with joy. Serve as you serve with love. Be generous from your place of overflow.

If you have no overflow to pour from, be intentional to pause and find a place of rest. Be refreshed in My presence. Refuse to allow yourself to be like an earthen vessel that becomes cracked and dried. Saturate yourself in Me. Then give generously from your surplus.

Luke 10:38-42 (TPT) As Jesus and the disciples continued on their journey, they came to a village where a woman welcomed Jesus into her home. Her name was Martha and she had a sister named Mary. Mary sat down attentively before the Master, absorbing every revelation he shared. But Martha became exasperated by finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.” The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Are they really that important? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.”

Pause in My Presence

Psalm 24:6 (TPT) They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob. Pause in his presence

Beloved, pause in My presence. As the world keeps pressing in, be still and feel Me with you. For when you seek My face, I shall not withhold Myself from you. So stand before Me, and in stillness bask in the glory of My gaze.

Just as the sun’s rays warm and reinvigorate you, so My presence fills you with that pervasive glow of warmth that enlivens and renews. So stand and receive. May you reflect the glow of My countenance, and in turn may it shift those around you as well.

Psalm 24:3-10 (TPT) Who, then, ascends into the presence of the Lord? And who has the privilege of entering into God’s Holy Place? Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure, whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth, those who never deceive, whose words are sure. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and righteousness given by the Savior-God. They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob. Pause in his presence So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you ageless doors of destiny! Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you. You ask, “Who is this Glory-King?” The Lord, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, invincible in every way! So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you ageless doors of destiny! Here he comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” He is the Lord of Victory, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts! Yes, he is the King of Glory! Pause in his presence

I AM YHVH Manowc (the Lord your Refuge)

Psalm 91:2-3 (AMP) I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!” For He will save you from the trap of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence.

Beloved, I AM YHVH Manowc – the Lord your refuge. I AM your safe place in good times and in bad. I AM the One who will never desert you, nor change My heart toward you. I AM steadfast, and I AM fully able. Rest in Me.

[Repeatedly it’s been highlighted to me how often God directs us to “rest” – “rest in Him”, “rest in His love” – simply to rest. He says it so often that I had begun to wonder if maybe the problem was me. That *I* wasn’t hearing correctly because what I was hearing was so often the same. But just as that thought moves me to a place of striving from a place of yielded listening, He told me that He’s reminding us exactly because our natural inclination is towards striving rather than rest. To learn to rest – to fully yield to Him, takes discipline and repetition. So yes, He’s repeating Himself. He’s doing so because we need the constant, gentle reminders so that we don’t fall into the trap of relying on self rather than yielding to Him. May we be intentional to stay in a place of rest, and to receive His gentle nudges with the love they’re intended.] Continue reading “I AM YHVH Manowc (the Lord your Refuge)”

Rest in the Safety of My Embrace

Psalm 91:1 (AMP) He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].

Beloved, rest in the safety of My embrace. For I AM an impenetrable fortress of protection. This does not mean troubles will never come, for they inevitably will, but it is a reminder that your ability to navigate those rocky waters is with you always. That comes through Me.

Therefore, there is no need to tremble in fear, or stress yourself with anxiety. Cast your cares on Me, beloved, for I care for you. Any semblance of control you think you have is but an illusion anyway, so yield yourself into My hands. Trust Me. Continue reading “Rest in the Safety of My Embrace”

Rest in My Love

Psalm 84:11 (TPT) For the Lord God is brighter than the brilliance of a sunrise! Wrapping himself around me like a shield, he is so generous with his gifts of grace and glory. Those who walk along his paths with integrity will never lack one thing they need, for he provides it all!

Beloved, feel the warmth of My embrace and know you are safe. For I AM with you, and I watch over you to guard you. I keep you safe and hold you in times of trouble. I help you through any struggles. I AM faithful, and I AM enough.

Those who rest in Me have all they need. Keep your focus aligned with what is right, and trust me to guide your steps. As you yield, I will safely guide you. So walk in truth and integrity as you rest in My love. Continue reading “Rest in My Love”

Trust My Love for You

Psalm 84:9 (TPT) God, your wrap-around presence is our defense. In your kindness look upon the faces of your anointed ones.

Beloved, I go before you, and I AM your rear guard. Nothing comes near you without My knowing. And I AM with you, sustaining you. My attention never wavers. Trust yourself into My care. Step into My loving arms and let Me hold you close when you’re afraid.

I AM Olam Zerowa – the everlasting arms, and I AM always with you and I will never leave you, so rest in Me. I look upon you with the tender eyes of One who adores you. Trust My love for you – feel it encompass you in a cocoon of safety. Continue reading “Trust My Love for You”

A Resting Place

Psalm 106:1 (VOICE) Praise the Eternal! Thank Him because He is good and His loyal love will never end.

Beloved, My love for you never changes. I’m not mad at you or angry at things you’ve done. I AM good, and I love you with a fierceness the most frigid ice couldn’t cool, and with a passion the whole of the ocean couldn’t douse.

When you reciprocate My love, and pour it back to Me in praise, you move My heart. Just as a thoughtful gesture from a loved one can touch your heart, so you move Mine. My love for you is deep and strong, may it be a resting place for you.
