Intimacy of Delight

2 Samuel 22:20 (VOICE) He led me out onto a broad plain; He delivered me because of His delight in me.

Beloved, delight in Me as I delight in you. I move with you towards and into the land of promise. For I AM YHVH Zakar, the Lord who remembers, and I remember and watch over to see through to completion every promise I have given.

Trust the journey, and enjoy the process, for it is part of the gift. It is too easy to hyper-focus on the destination, which often only slows its realization. So simply embrace Me, and enjoy our walk together knowing that from end-to-end it is good.

Choose the Better Part

Luke 10:42 (TPT) Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet…

Beloved, dwell with Me. For to taste the sweet nectar of intimacy requires first partaking in the fruit. Make our time together a priority. Even if all you have available are stolen moments – find them. In doing so, you demonstrate your priorities. Refuse to let the busyness of life keep you away, for there will always be something or someone calling for your time.

Choose the better part: time with Me. For in My presence you find necessary refreshing for your soul. Indeed My love will look forward to you, and that joy then brings you strength. Indeed time with Me is vital to your well-being, so make it a priority. I AM calling, beloved. Come and dwell with Me.

Luke 10:38-42 (TPT) As Jesus and the disciples continued on their journey, they came to a village where a woman welcomed Jesus into her home. Her name was Martha and she had a sister named Mary. Mary sat down attentively before the Master, absorbing every revelation he shared. But Martha became exasperated by finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.” The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Are they really that important? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.”

A Journey of Discovery

Luke 10:39 (TPT) Mary sat down attentively before the Master, absorbing every revelation he shared.

Beloved, find your place at My feet. Cuddle in close, and abide with Me. You cannot rush “quality time,” for it occurs in the plethora of moments intentionally devoted to one another. Those key moments are experienced, but cannot be forced or manufactured.

Devote yourself to Me. Devote time and attention to cultivating relationship with Me. Spend time in the Word reading about Me. Choose to know Me as I have chosen to know you. I invite you to a journey of discovery as you spend your time with Me.

Welcome Me

Luke 10:38-39 (TPT) As Jesus and the disciples continued on their journey, they came to a village where a woman welcomed Jesus into her home. Her name was Martha and she had a sister named Mary…

Beloved, the first step to intimacy is creating room for it to occur. Just as a couple cannot experience intimacy if they never spend time alone together or are constantly allowing interruptions to disturb them, so we cannot experience an intimate relationship if you do not make room for Me.

Welcome Me, beloved. Invite Me to tarry with you just as I’ve invited you to dwell with Me. In life you have many choices of where to spend your time. Choose Me. Welcome Me. Then keep welcoming Me. It is not a one-time occurrence, but rather an ongoing relationship. So create the space, make room, and abide with Me.

Hopelessly Devoted to You {Moments with God}

{I laugh to myself as I repurpose the name of an old song as a loving refrain to God} Hopelessly devoted to You… hopelessly devoted to You. I’m hopelessly devoted to You.

{After pausing to look up the literal meaning to hopeless and finding one of Merriam-Webster’s definitions was indeed accurate with “not susceptible to remedy or cure.”} So true, Father. Nothing can cause my heart towards you to change. In hardships, I draw nearer. In prosperous times, I praise louder. In confusion, I cling tighter. My certainty is steadfast in both that You are real, and that You are a rewarder of those who seek you wholeheartedly. So yes, without question I am happily and wholeheartedly hopelessly devoted to You. May my life be a testament to Your goodness and may it bring You glory.

Hebrews 11:6 (TPT) And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him.

Pause in My Presence

Psalm 24:6 (TPT) They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob. Pause in his presence

Beloved, pause in My presence. As the world keeps pressing in, be still and feel Me with you. For when you seek My face, I shall not withhold Myself from you. So stand before Me, and in stillness bask in the glory of My gaze.

Just as the sun’s rays warm and reinvigorate you, so My presence fills you with that pervasive glow of warmth that enlivens and renews. So stand and receive. May you reflect the glow of My countenance, and in turn may it shift those around you as well.

Psalm 24:3-10 (TPT) Who, then, ascends into the presence of the Lord? And who has the privilege of entering into God’s Holy Place? Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure, whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth, those who never deceive, whose words are sure. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and righteousness given by the Savior-God. They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob. Pause in his presence So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you ageless doors of destiny! Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you. You ask, “Who is this Glory-King?” The Lord, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, invincible in every way! So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you ageless doors of destiny! Here he comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” He is the Lord of Victory, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts! Yes, he is the King of Glory! Pause in his presence

Enter In

Psalm 24:4-5 (TPT) Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure, whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth, those who never deceive, whose words are sure. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and righteousness given by the Savior-God.

Beloved, enter in to My blessing. Enter in to greater intimacy with Me. A gift awaits before you, and all of heaven watches with baited breath to see what you’ll choose. Will you choose to go deeper? Or will you satisfy your heart’s longings with the world’s tasteless fare?

Behold, I AM before you with My hand extended in invitation, so grab hold. No matter what depth of relationship we already have, there’s always further mysteries to explore, for I AM Gelah Raz – the Revealer of Mysteries. So take My hand and enter in to the more I have awaiting you. Continue reading “Enter In”

Rich Soil of Intimacy

Psalm 17:5 (VOICE) I will press on —moving steadfastly forward along Your path. I will not look back. I will not stumble.

Beloved, be set in your purpose and be steadfast. Refuse to be blown about, or shaken by the winds and waves around you. Remain true to your heart – true to your purpose. Allow your dove eyes to lead you.

A dove’s eyes are gentle and singular in focus. So allow yours to remain fixed on Me, just as Mine stay fixed on you. For you are the object of My affection – My beloved, My precious one. Dwell in this place of intimacy with Me, and let us linger here that life may pour forth from its rich soil. Continue reading “Rich Soil of Intimacy”

Be Kind to Yourself

Psalm 139:7 (VOICE) Can I go anywhere apart from Your Spirit? Is there anywhere I can go to escape Your watchful presence?

Beloved, I AM omnipresent. When Adam and Eve hid from Me in the garden and I asked them where they were (Genesis 3:8-9), do you think I truly did not know? Or was I in fact giving them opportunity to remember that I love them completely, and – no matter what they’d done – I still wanted connection with them?

Beloved, I wanted connection with them, and I want it with you. So resist the urge to hide from Me if you’re struggling with feelings of guilt or shame. Relationship with Me isn’t about perfection, but rather it’s about relationship itself – communication, interacting, a sharing of thoughts and ideas, dreaming together – all that and more.

Of course it’s good to do the best you can and make wise choices. But in the moments you fall short, refuse to take on the burden of guilt or shame and instead share that disappointment with Me. Rather than allowing it to separate us, allow it to draw us closer as I comfort you and encourage you. Be kind to yourself, and let Me be kind to you as well. Continue reading “Be Kind to Yourself”

I Love All of You

Psalm 139:4 (VOICE) You know what I’m going to say long before I say it. It is true, Eternal One, that You know everything and everyone.

Beloved, I know your heart well. I may seem like a mystery to you and there will often be times you can’t understand My ways, but I assure you – you are not a mystery to Me. I’ve made a study of you, and I find everything about you fascinating. I love the way you seek and learn. I love seeing how your mind works.

Never feel like you have to hide your emotions from Me. I can handle them all – good and bad. Your anger and frustration don’t shock Me, nor will they chase Me away or turn My heart against you. I love you, and I accept all of you – the good and the bad. I have chosen you and love you. Receive that love and allow it to penetrate deep. Continue reading “I Love All of You”
