Pools of Refreshing

John 5:2, 4 (TPT) Inside the city near the Sheep Gate there is a pool called in Aramaic, The House of Loving Kindness… an angel of God would periodically descend into the pool to stir the waters, and the first one who stepped into the pool after the waters swirled would instantly be healed.

Beloved, step into the pools of refreshing and find healing and rest for your soul. It is vital to stay soft and supple, for if you become dry and brittle it is far easier for you to be damaged or break. Make the time to pause. Rest and refreshing is not “doing nothing,” it is allowing you the time and space you need to stay healthy, alive, and vital.

Resist the urge to strive or “power through.” You are important enough to pause for, precious enough to tend to, and loved enough to be taken care of. So love yourself, even if at first you only do it because I love you. You are worth it.

Matthew 9:17 (TPT) And who would pour fresh, new wine into an old wineskin? Eventually the wine will ferment and make the wineskin burst, losing everything—the wine is spilled and the wineskin ruined. Instead, new wine is always poured into a new wineskin so that both are preserved.”

Faithful to Restore

Psalm 86:4 (TPT) Restore joy to your loving servant once again, for all I am is yours, O God.

Beloved, receive My joy as you rest in My presence. Be refreshed in your time with Me. For all that I AM is holy and true, and I pour My love out over you. Be saturated and satisfied, and be restored.

I AM the God who makes all things new. And I AM the God who redeems. Nothing is too hard for Me, and I AM all you need. So rest in Me and release your cares – cast them all on Me. For I AM faithful, beloved, forevermore. And faithful I’ll always be.

Psalm 86:1-4 (TPT) Lord, bend down to listen to my prayer. I am in deep trouble. I’m broken and humbled, and I desperately need your help. Guard my life, for I’m your faithful friend, your loyal servant for life. I turn to you in faith, my God, my hero; come and rescue me! Lord God, hear my constant cry for help; show me your favor and bring me to your fountain of grace! Restore joy to your loving servant once again, for all I am is yours, O God.

Place of Overflow

Luke 10:40 (TPT) But Martha became exasperated by finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.”

Beloved, whatever you do, do with love. For the heart of the giver matters as much as the act itself. Sow what you sow with joy. Serve as you serve with love. Be generous from your place of overflow.

If you have no overflow to pour from, be intentional to pause and find a place of rest. Be refreshed in My presence. Refuse to allow yourself to be like an earthen vessel that becomes cracked and dried. Saturate yourself in Me. Then give generously from your surplus.

Luke 10:38-42 (TPT) As Jesus and the disciples continued on their journey, they came to a village where a woman welcomed Jesus into her home. Her name was Martha and she had a sister named Mary. Mary sat down attentively before the Master, absorbing every revelation he shared. But Martha became exasperated by finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.” The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Are they really that important? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.”

Made New

Colossians 3:1 (VOICE) So it comes down to this: since you have been raised with the Anointed One, the Liberating King, set your mind on heaven above. The Anointed is there, seated at God’s right hand.

Beloved, in Christ you are made new – that means completely changed. Embrace your new self wholeheartedly. Extend the same grace to yourself that has been extended to you. Forgive yourself for choices that could have been made better, and decisions that should have been made differently. Remember that you are different now – new in Christ.

Operate from an expectation of good. Refuse to expect yourself to fall at the same hurdles you have before. For you are not alone – I AM with you. I strengthen you and uphold you. You’ve chosen the winning side. And though life will never be without its challenges, there is nothing that will overtake you as you walk hand in hand with Me. Continue reading “Made New”

The River of God

Ezekiel 47:8-9 (VOICE) The Man:  This river flows eastward and runs down into the Jordan Valley to the place where it flows into the Dead Sea. The moment it meets the sea, the salty water becomes fresh. Swarms of creatures will flourish wherever this river flows. Schools of fish will swim through currents of fresh water, for wherever this water flows everything will come alive!

Beloved, the river of God brings healing to whatever it touches. So stay in the river. Remain in My healing flow. For I AM YHVH Rapha – the Lord your healer, so look to Me to heal and to restore that you in turn may share My refreshing flow with others.

Come alive! Just as Lazarus was called forth from the grave, so I have called you from the death and bondage of sin into My glorious, life-giving light. Be embraced by My love, saturated by My Spirit, and be made whole.

I AM the Restorer of Your Soul

Psalm 23:3 (NKJV) He restores my soul…

Beloved, I bring new life in areas where you’ve been wounded. I breathe hope on dreams that have begun to die. I give strength to your areas of weakness. I AM the restorer of your soul.

So look to Me when you are weary. Cling to Me when hopelessness abounds. Trust in Me when darkness tries to close in around you, for I AM faithful. Yes, look to Me, for I AM God.

Be Kissed by the Wind of My Spirit

Psalm 23:2-3 (VOICE) He provides me rest in rich, green fields beside streams of refreshing water. He soothes my fears; He makes me whole again…

Beloved, rest in the lush landscape of My love. Be kissed by the wind of My Spirit, and allow it – that the gentle breeze, My very breath – to stir you, bringing restoration and life. Be still, precious one, and be intentional to pause in this place of healing.

Resist the urge to allow the things of life to force you into activity when wholeness is found in My presence. Rest in Me. Be refreshed by the water of My Word. Be strengthened by My love. Release your cares and worries, let go of any fears, and simply wait on Me. Beloved, I AM the restorer of your soul, so rest in Me.

Watch as I Manifest Renewal

Isaiah 61:3 (TPT) …to give them a beautiful bouquet in the place of ashes, the oil of bliss instead of tears, and the mantle of joyous praise instead of the spirit of heaviness…

Beloved, I don’t patch things with a bandaid, or simply smooth things out so you don’t see the trials that were there before, no – I AM a God of radical transformation. I bring beauty from ashes, and joy from mourning. Nothing is too hard for Me.

Resist the heaviness that would try to cling to you, and embrace the mantle of joy that is yours. Burst forth in praise – in hopeful expectation, and watch as I manifest renewal in your life. Continue reading “Watch as I Manifest Renewal”

It is the Day of Restoration

Isaiah 61:2-3 (TPT) I am sent to announce a new season of Yahweh’s grace and a time of God’s recompense on his enemies, to comfort all who are in sorrow, to strengthen those crushed by despair who mourn…

Beloved, walk in My grace. Dry your tears, for a new season is upon you. The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and joy is found in My presence (Psalm 16:11). So abide with Me, My fair one, and be refreshed and filled.

For no longer will you be bruised and crushed, beloved. There is healing in My wings. So press in close, and hide in My shadow as you renew your strength. It is the day of restoration. Find your hope in Me. Continue reading “It is the Day of Restoration”

Burst Forth into Your Open Place

Psalm 18:19 (TPT) His love broke open the way and he brought me into a beautiful broad place. He rescued me—because his delight is in me!

Beloved, healing and restoration are found in Me. Allow My love to break the yokes of bondage, and be set free. Like a calf released from the stall and let out to pasture, burst forth into your open place (Malachi 4:2).

For your land of promise is before you, and I AM at your back. Spread wide your arms, beloved, and receive. For I delight in you. You are the apple of My eye. And My promises to you are steadfast and true. Continue reading “Burst Forth into Your Open Place”
