Beautiful Life

Psalm 16:11 (VOICE) …You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life. As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment.

Beloved, My plans for you are beautiful and will fill you with more contentment than you can begin to imagine. Release yourself completely to My care and My loving hands. My plans for you are good plans – plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans for hope and a future.

Allow Me to direct your path. Even in the trials, joy will steady you as you willingly yield to Me. Beautiful is the life I have for you. Rejoice in it and in how I move in and through you, beloved.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Isaiah 30:21 (VOICE) Your ears will hear sweet words behind you: “Go this way. There is your path; this is how you should go” whenever you must decide whether to turn to the right or the left.

  1. “RELEASE YOURSELF COMPLETELY”to My care and My loving hands…

“ALLOW ME” to direct your path…

    “WILLINGLY YEILD” to Me…

As I was reading this devotional this morning. My mind went back to my physio appointment yesterday. I’m in a bit of a predicament. My therapist needs to get my shoulder moving, but my shoulder has believed a lie. That if it moves, it will dislocate or something bad will happen. So my shoulder is bracing itself in expectation of the bad thing that will come. All the therapist wants is for me to ” surrender” my shoulder into his loving hands. He doesn’t want to hurt me. He wants to help me. But even though “I” know that. My shoulder refuses to cooperate.

I found it an interesting parallel with God. He wants my heart. He wants my full surrender. WHY is it SO difficult to just RELEASE. ALLOW. YEILD. to HIM???
I KNOW He is good and has my best interest at heart. But… Somewhere in me must be bracing itself for a bad outcome. My heart doesn’t fully believe in his goodness.

I found this very interesting. So my job this week is to train my shoulder to move again. Little by little so that it will begin again to respond the way it is meant to. To yield to movement.

So. I pray I will be able to
“Release myself “to not only my therapists loving care. But more importantly my Heavenly Fathers loving care.

Thanks Meghan. Needed to hear this today ❤️❤️❤️
