Embrace the Things of Heaven

Proverbs 3:5 (VOICE) Place your trust in the Eternal; rely on Him completely; never depend upon your own ideas and inventions.

Beloved, spread wide your arms and trust in Me. Take your hands off your circumstances and throw your head back and give praise to the One who is worthy. Know that I have you covered, so release it all to Me.

I AM all you need. Let Me lift you in My love, and strengthen you by My Spirit. Let me give you true vision, for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear can see and know the things not of the earthly realm. Embrace the things of heaven, and trust in Me. The Blessing of Wisdom

Proverbs 3:13 (TPT) Those who find true wisdom obtain the tools for understanding, the proper way to live, for they will have a fountain of blessing pouring into their lives. To gain the riches of wisdom is far greater than gaining the wealth of the world.

Beloved, seek the blessing of wisdom, for it is of more value than riches. The insight it brings serves as a most valuable companion in all areas of life. So seek it, value it, and demonstrate wisdom by implementing it.

Draw deeply from the well of wisdom, for sweet are her waters. They bring life and the key to its abundance. Refuse to settle for simply the opinions of man, and instead relentlessly pursue the wisdom that comes from Me alone.

Rending the Heavens with Humility

Proverbs 22:4 (TPT) Laying your life down in tender surrender before the Lord will bring life, prosperity, and honor as your reward.

Beloved, surrender your will to Mine. Lay it down as a humble, heartfelt offering before the One who made you. True power and authority does not come in human strength, but in your ability to yield to the One who wields all power – the One who is sovereign: Me.

So rend the heavens with humility as you lay down your life as a pleasing offering before Me. Then watch as I move in power – in and through you – bringing life, prosperity, and honor to the one who chose to honor Me first. Delight in Me and I will give you the desires of your heart, beloved. So delight in Me.

Walk in Wisdom

Proverbs 3:17-18 (TPT) The ways of wisdom are sweet, always drawing you into the place of wholeness. Seeking for her brings the discovery of untold blessings, for she is the healing tree of life to those who taste her fruits.

Beloved, seek fast after wisdom and ask Me for it, for I will not withhold it. But remember that seeking and having wisdom is only part of the journey. Implementing that wisdom and making decisions based on it is essential as well.

For as you walk in wisdom, blessing overtakes you. It draws you into a place of wholeness. And from that place of completeness, you are able to effectively pour out to others. So seek wisdom. Ask for it. Then walk in wisdom that you might be blessed and be a blessing.  Continue reading “Walk in Wisdom”

Opportunities to Grow in Character

Proverbs 3:3 (TPT) Hold on to loyal love and don’t let go, and be faithful to all that you’ve been taught. Let your life be shaped by integrity, with truth written upon your heart.

Beloved, be steadfast in integrity. Be loyal in your love. Be faithful with all you’ve learned, and be one who leads by example. You have been equipped for that which lies ahead.

Give weight to that which has been learned, for every experience of life gives opportunity to grow in character. Do so wisely. Stay focused on Me. Mirror your behavior to Mine. Be full of grace and rich in mercy, slow to anger and not easily offended, and love deeply and without judgment. Trust Me to move in others’ lives even as I move in yours.  Continue reading “Opportunities to Grow in Character”

Deep Assurance

Proverbs 18:10 (GW) The name of the Lord is a strong tower. A righteous person runs to it and is safe.

Beloved, those who know Me, know My name. My name reflects My character. A part of intimacy is having a deep assurance about another’s character that is unshakable regardless of circumstance. Having that foundation with Me brings an enormous amount of peace.

If you know Me, you know I AM always with you. If you know Me, you know I take care of My children. If you know Me, you know I’ll use each hardship you encounter as a force for good. Knowing Me is about trusting and releasing control into My hands. It’s about allowing Me to be your strong tower and your firm foundation. So, beloved, run to Me and be safe.

Carried on My Breath

Proverbs 25:11 (VOICE) A well-spoken word at just the right moment is like golden apples in settings of silver.

Beloved, be slow to speak and seek Me for wisdom, for I will richly grant it when asked. The right word in the right moment can have life-changing impact, but the wrong word – or even the right word in the wrong moment – can result in resistance and hurt.

So seek Me for wisdom – both on what to say and when to say it. It’s more important for change to occur than it is for you to be able to say you were right. So lay down your pride, refuse to be offended, and simply operate in loving humility as a one whose words are carried on My breath.

Run, Rest, Rely

Proverbs 18:10 (TPT) The character of God is a tower of strength, for the lovers of God delight to run into his heart and be exalted on high.

Beloved, I AM sovereign, and I AM strong. I AM YHVH Tsur – the Lord your strength, and YHVH Misgab – the Lord your Strong Tower. I AM unchanging – the alpha and omega, the same yesterday, today, and forever. Rest in Me.

My character is infallible. It creates a safe and stable foundation for you – a place you can rely on. Rest in Me. My name reflects My character, for I AM that I AM. Remember, beloved, run to Me, rest in Me, and rely on Me, for I AM wholly faithful and ever true.  Continue reading “Run, Rest, Rely”

True Fulfillment

Proverbs 25:14 (VOICE) Like clouds and wind that bring no rain, so is one who boasts of gifts promised but never delivered.

Beloved, be known as a person of your word. Resist the urge to indulge in the rush of joy that giving a happy promise brings, and simply do what you are led to do. Do it without fanfare or a desire for praise. Simply do it because it’s what is right and good.

The heady feel of the praise of men can quickly become an addiction which enslaves you. Resist being drawn in. Instead focus on walking in integrity and following My leadings. For that is where true fulfillment is found.

Knowing When to Save Your Breath

Proverbs 23:9 (VOICE) Do not waste your wisdom on a fool, for he doesn’t care for anything you have to say.

Beloved, sometimes walking in humility looks like knowing when to save your breath rather than wasting wise counsel on one who will not listen. Pride will urge you on so that later you may say, “I told you so,” but there is no benefit in doing so.

Instead humbly hold your counsel, and pray that their eyes might be opened. Be moved with compassion knowing that there have been times when you yourself have been the fool. So be grateful that day is past, and pray for theirs to pass quickly too. Continue reading “Knowing When to Save Your Breath”
