My Eternal Word

Isaiah 40:8 (NLT) The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.

Beloved, before the foundations of the earth, My Word existed – carried on My breath, made manifest in My creation; My Word apparent for all to see. For those who have an ear to hear and those who have an eye to see, My Word is vibrant and alive, mighty and powerful, comforting and steadfast.

I remain the same. I AM steadfast and true, faithful to My Word, and holy and righteous. My Word was made flesh – the bread of life. My Word is sustenance to strengthen and build you up. Allow Me to be your firm foundation. Rest in Me. Rely on Me. I AM life, and I AM eternal.

Shema (Hear and Obey)

Psalm 29:4 (NLT) The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.

Beloved, I spoke and the world you know was created. At My word the earth was formed, and by My breath life was given. Nothing can resist the power of My Word. What I say is as good as done. So grab hold of truth – grab hold of My Word, and believe.

My sheep know My voice, so whether it comes as a gentle whisper or as roaring thunder, My children know My voice and they will respond. Those that love Me, obey Me. So respond to My voice, beloved. Shema, hear and obey.

Love Without Reserve and Love Well

Matthew 5:43-48 (TPT) …How are you any different from others if you limit your kindness only to your friends? Don’t even the ungodly do that?…

Beloved, there would be no need for Me to encourage you to love someone if they were someone you found easy to love. You would do it instinctively. So be mindful not to dismiss My instruction simply because it is difficult, challenges you, or makes no sense to your natural mind.

You do not see the hearts of men as I do, but if you trust My leading, you can navigate the murky waters of their inner workings with ease as you yield to My direction. I will not steer you wrongly.

Remember that simply because things look messy does not mean they aren’t exactly as they should be. When a cook is working on an elaborate meal, it is not unusual for things to look chaotic while the creation is underway, but a masterpiece still comes forth.

Refuse to be discouraged by the work in progress and simply trust My Spirit to lead you rightly. Love without reserve and love well. Continue reading “Love Without Reserve and Love Well”

My Voice Thunders

Isaiah 54:17 (VOICE) But no instrument forged against you will be allowed to hurt you, and no voice raised to condemn you will successfully prosecute you. It’s that simple; this is how it will be for the servants of the Eternal; I will vindicate them.

Beloved, My voice thunders. It out blasts and supersedes every other voice. I always have the last word and My word never returns void. It always accomplishes that which it sets out to do.

My quietest whisper carries more weight than any other utterance. Fret not over the voices that surround you and instead seek Me for My word on every matter, for in the end, nothing else matters. I will have the last word and it will prevail.

Trust Me to Lead or Correct

1 Corinthians 13:9 (KJV) For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

Beloved, listen for My voice. Trust that you hear Me and trust that I will speak. Hold what I share with an open hand, trusting Me to lead or correct.

Beloved, how do you explain something to someone that is beyond their expectations or comprehension? Know that sometimes, like a sailboat tacking to and fro, making steady – albeit indirect – progress, I will find ways to guide and direct you that may seem indirect or even contrary, but if you will trust and release the leading to Me, you begin to see the route taking shape even amongst all the course corrections.

I AM not changeable though to you it may seem like I change My mind. I AM directing you in the way that you will best be able to follow, yield to My leading and trust Me to lead. Remember the journey is a primary part of the goal, not just the destination. Continue reading “Trust Me to Lead or Correct “

Be Mindful What Your Actions Communicate

Numbers 20:12 (AMP) But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you have not believed (trusted) Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, you therefore shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

Beloved, it is not enough to say you trust Me. When you insist you understand each thing I ask of you, you demonstrate your lack of trust. When you do things how we’ve done before rather than how I’ve instructed for this time, you show a lack of trust. And when you cherry pick which of My instructions you will adhere to, you communicate loudly that you trust yourself more and place your own judgment above My own. Conditional trust is not trust.

Beloved, check your actions to be certain they align with what you desire to communicate. Because habitually choosing your own judgment over Mine not only tells Me you don’t trust Me (as well as communicating that clearly to those around you), but it also demonstrates that you do not love Me as you say you do. Love trusts. Love obeys. Love listens.

So be mindful what you’re actions are communicating, be certain they align with what you’re hoping to express. And in the moments they fall short, repent and adjust your behavior accordingly. Give true love to Me remembering I first loved you. Continue reading “Be Mindful What Your Actions Communicate”

The Power of My Voice

Psalm 29:4 (AMP) The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

Beloved, My voice carries more weight than any other. My words are rooted in beauty and truth. Find time to tarry with Me. Be intentional about silencing the voices that seek to distract you from My presence and purpose.

No matter how well-meaning or well-intentioned, if words are not carried on the breath of My Spirit, they do not bring true life. So make time, find a quiet place – both externally and internally – and abide with Me. Let the power of My voice bring comfort and effect change.

I Belong to You (Moments with God)

{He whispers to my heart} I belong to you.

{He pauses, waiting for that to penetrate. As I sit trying to really “get” it, He repeats Himself} I belong to you.

{Immediately the verse in Song of Solomon (which I have in Hebrew on my ring) comes to mind} “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine.” Such a seemingly basic message and yet after decades of following Him, still I struggle to know. Still I struggle to feel worthy. But He reminds me His love has nothing to do with whether or not I am worthy, it has to do with the fact that He chose me anyway – regardless of my human failings and imperfections – He chose me. And He chose you. May the beauty of that penetrate your heart today. Continue reading “I Belong to You (Moments with God)”

My Ways Are Higher

Matthew 5:43 (TPT) “Your ancestors have also been taught ‘Love your neighbors and hate the one who hates you.’

Beloved, My ways are not the ways of the world. Nor do all the traditions of man align with My heart. Even the things taught in love by your ancestors may be rooted in falsehoods or misconception. My ways are higher.

Take the time to know Me directly. Be open to Me breaking the box of your expectations and understanding. Allow My Spirit to truly teach you. Beloved, call to Me for I will answer and tell you things you did not know.

Refuse to be so stuck on what you believe is right that you close yourself off to Truth. Beloved, I will guide you with My eye. Be intent to follow where I lead, even if it’s uncomfortable, even if it challenges you, even if the cost is high – trust where I lead and yield to Me. Continue reading “My Ways Are Higher”

Selah (again)

Psalm 24:10 (AMP) Who is [He then] this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory [who rules over all creation with His heavenly armies]. Selah.

Beloved, pause. Stop and reflect, truly take moment and ponder who I AM. Ponder My glory, the works of My hands, My character and identity. It’s far too easy to get caught up in the rhetoric and lose sight of who I truly am. I AM more than simply words regurgitated by well-meaning people who get so busy saying the “right” things they’ve missed the point: relationship with Me.

So pause. Make room for Me to speak, make room for Me to love you, and make room for all I share and teach you to penetrate. Meditate on Me – on My words, both rhema and logos (whispered in your ear and written in My word). Slow down. Refuse to be tempted to rush this journey. Some things cannot be hurried. So pause. Ponder Me, beloved. Selah.

Note: I find it ironic that in a year of doing these Prophetic Nuggets, this particular post “accidentally” got posted (and sent out to the subscribers) twice. 🙂 After my initial embarrassment, I realized God had this happen on purpose because He wanted to re-emphasize the need to pause.
