Love Without Reserve and Love Well

Matthew 5:43-48 (TPT) …How are you any different from others if you limit your kindness only to your friends? Don’t even the ungodly do that?…

Beloved, there would be no need for Me to encourage you to love someone if they were someone you found easy to love. You would do it instinctively. So be mindful not to dismiss My instruction simply because it is difficult, challenges you, or makes no sense to your natural mind.

You do not see the hearts of men as I do, but if you trust My leading, you can navigate the murky waters of their inner workings with ease as you yield to My direction. I will not steer you wrongly.

Remember that simply because things look messy does not mean they aren’t exactly as they should be. When a cook is working on an elaborate meal, it is not unusual for things to look chaotic while the creation is underway, but a masterpiece still comes forth.

Refuse to be discouraged by the work in progress and simply trust My Spirit to lead you rightly. Love without reserve and love well.

Matthew 5:43-48 (TPT) “Your ancestors have also been taught ‘Love your neighbors and hate the one who hates you.’ However, I say to you, love your enemy, bless the one who curses you, do something wonderful for the one who hates you, and respond to the very ones who persecute you by praying for them. For that will reveal your identity as children of your heavenly Father. He is kind to all by bringing the sunrise to warm and rainfall to refresh whether a person does what is good or evil. What reward do you deserve if you only love the loveable? Don’t even the tax collectors do that? How are you any different from others if you limit your kindness only to your friends? Don’t even the ungodly do that? Since you are children of a perfect Father in heaven, you are to be perfect like him.”

  1. This word flies in the face of what most books these days tell us about love. We are labeled dis-functional and abuse addicts if we love the broken. God has to teach us how to love the broken and we would rather just avoid them, forgetting that we were and still are the “broken”. If God had not found somebody to love us in our brokenness, we might never have been able to believe in His love at all. Lord today, please especially bless those who have been the vessels of your unconditional love in our lives, so we could see what love in action looks like and believe in Your love.

    1. Amen! So very true. This kind of love changes people.

When birthing “love words” like this there’s often a lot of dialogue between Papa and I because I would never want a Prophetic Nugget to hold someone in bondage if Papa God wanted them set free. What I mean by that is simply though He has me stay in an emotionally abusive situation where love eventually won the day, does not mean that’s what He would ask everyone to do. He knows which hearts are ripe for change, which hearts can handle walking through a situation like that, etc. We each need to listen for His instruction and follow that.

And btw I took a LOT of flack for staying. It was so hurtful because the situation was hard enough without well meaning believers constantly undermining what God was doing rather than providing the godly support that would have made all the difference (that’s not to say NOone supported me, but by the end it was a VERY small group). Only one person apologized later and acknowledged that God moves in a way they hadn’t expected.

His ways are not our ways, His thoughts not our thoughts.

      Love you miss Mary!
