Sacrificial Love

John 15:13 (NIV) Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Beloved, true love means sacrifice. The cost is high to give. And the higher the cost, the more difficult it can be to receive – to feel worthy of such a sacrifice. But, beloved, to focus on your worth is asking the wrong question. The question is: what will you do with what you have been given?

Respond in gratitude. Respond in power. Rather than asking if you are worthy of such a sacrifice, live in a way that is worthy. Choose to receive the blessing and walk in the fullness – not in arrogance, but rather an honored humility.

Love the Brokenhearted

Psalm 34:18 (VOICE) When someone is hurting or brokenhearted, the Eternal moves in close and revives him in his pain.

Beloved, I love the brokenhearted. I draw near to them, and I bind up their wounds that they may be healed. Are you willing to be My hands and feet? Are you willing to love like Me? To stay with someone in their brokenness and pain, asking and expecting nothing, simply lavishing life-changing love because you are able?

Resist the urge to fix or counsel, beloved, even when it seems so easy or obvious to you. If My breath isn’t on your words and My Spirit isn’t giving unction, they will not just fall on deaf ears but may cause further injury.

Rather, lavish your love unconditionally because that is how I have loved you. Love without reserve or expectation. Simply love. Freely you have received; freely give. Continue reading “Love the Brokenhearted”

Sow and See Them Grow

Proverbs 31:28 (TPT) Her sons and daughters arise in one accord to extol her virtues, and her husband arises to speak of her in glowing terms.

Beloved, be diligent and consistent in pouring forth wisdom and love, for in due season you will reap a harvest. Refuse to be discouraged by set backs regardless of how disheartening they may be. Love as if you will never be hurt. Love without reserve.

Parenting – whether natural parents or spiritual, is not for the faint of heart. It takes patience, depth, long-suffering, forgiveness, an ability to see and hold to the truth, and an abundance of unwavering love. You must learn to truly be like Me. But the fruit of it will come if you persist. Your children will flourish and rise up and call you blessed. How blessed you are to sow and then see them grow. Love Without Reserve and Love Well

Matthew 5:43-48 (TPT) …How are you any different from others if you limit your kindness only to your friends? Don’t even the ungodly do that?…

Beloved, there would be no need for Me to encourage you to love someone if they were someone you found easy to love. You would do it instinctively. So be mindful not to dismiss My instruction simply because it is difficult, challenges you, or makes no sense to your natural mind.

You do not see the hearts of men as I do, but if you trust My leading, you can navigate the murky waters of their inner workings with ease as you yield to My direction. I will not steer you wrongly.

Remember that simply because things look messy does not mean they aren’t exactly as they should be. When a cook is working on an elaborate meal, it is not unusual for things to look chaotic while the creation is underway, but a masterpiece still comes forth.

Refuse to be discouraged by the work in progress and simply trust My Spirit to lead you rightly. Love without reserve and love well. Continue reading “Love Without Reserve and Love Well”

The Shadow of My Wings

Psalm 17:8 (VOICE) Keep close watch over me as the apple of Your eye; shelter me in the shadow of Your wings.

Beloved, you are My precious one. You never leave My sight. My love and protection are steadfast. My devotion is never ending. I AM Olam Zeroa, the Everlasting Arms. My comfort and security are always here for you.

Choose to remain in My safety. Choose to remain close. Burrow in and lavish Me with your love; abide in Me. Reside in the shadow of My wings. There is safety there and I AM all you need.

I Will Always Receive You

Luke 15:21 (VOICE) The son said, “Father, I have done a terrible wrong in God’s sight and in your sight too. I have forfeited any right to be treated as your son.”

Beloved, no matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, when you run to Me, I will receive you. There is nothing you can do that would cause Me to turn My back when you approach Me with a contrite heart filled with repentance. You are Mine and I love you.

You are not too dirty for Me, nor too messy. I haven’t given up hope on you. I never stop cheering you on. Refuse to allow yourself to believe that anything could cause Me to demote you to a position of lower standing in My heart. You are My beloved and I AM faithful until the end.

Beyond Imagination

Isaiah 64:4 (MSG) Since before time began no one has ever imagined, No ear heard, no eye seen, a God like you who works for those who wait for him.

Beloved, I AM beyond imagination. I AM the only true god; the One who loves His children, acts on their behalf, fights for them, and blesses them in unexpected and beautiful ways. I AM not a genie in a bottle. You can’t control Me or dictate My actions, but I AM fiercely loyal and love you immensely.

I lavish My love on those who choose Me. So choose Me, beloved, not for the blessings, but simply because I AM who I AM and am worth loving, worth worshipping, and worth pursuing. Remember that receiving My love is the greatest blessing of all. Continue reading “Beyond Imagination”

Conduit of Love

Matthew 5:43-48 (TPT) …What reward do you deserve if you only love the loveable? Don’t even the tax collectors do that?…

Beloved, it isn’t enough to simply love those who love you (although you should do that too, and do so without reserve). Love like Mine is sacrificial. It costs you something. If you would be like Me, your love must be the same.

So beloved, love the unlovable. Love those who are hurting and lost. Love those who are angry and lashing out. Love deeply and as if you’ll never get hurt. Love because you have been loved even when you were hurt, angry, and unlovable you were loved by Me. Be a conduit of love, for love changes everything. Continue reading “Conduit of Love”

The Gift of Love

John 15:13 (KJV) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Beloved, love as I have loved – withholding nothing, without condition or exception. For this type of love changes things, it breaks through the strongest of fortresses, it permeates through the most steadfast defenses.

Even knowing that to be true, don’t love needing or expecting a response, love for the sake of Love. Love because giving the gift of love is its own reward. Love because to do so makes you more like Me. Continue reading “The Gift of Love”

Love Without Restraint

Proverbs 6:16-19 (VOICE) Take note, there are six things the Eternal hates; no, make it seven He abhors: …A heart that conceives evil plans…

Beloved, align your heart and your intentions with good. Refuse to be tempted to wish for evil to befall on anyone and instead pray for blessings and My presence in their lives. If you obey My word by praying for those who hurt you and spitefully use you, would you be double-minded and moments later be hoping for evil retribution to fall? Of course not.

Choose to trust Me wholeheartedly, knowing My judgment is righteous. Trust Me to know how to handle others and instead focus on cultivating a good and loving heart that aligns with Mine. Focus on that which is good, perfect, and true, and love without restraint.
