Cheerfully Expectant

Romans 12:11-13 (MSG) Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Help needy Christians; be inventive in hospitality.

Be expectant. I long to move through My children, but few are truly willing to step out in faith or to live a life that makes them vessels I can work through to operate in My supernatural. In the same way you can’t give a young child a knife for fear they will damage themselves, too many of My children lack the maturity needed to operate in acts of the supernatural. I will not give them anything that I know will cause them to stumble or will harm them.

Continue to make choices and live in such a way that prepares you for what I have in store for you, beloved. Stay in My word. Set aside the cares of this world. Don’t get caught up with the drama of man. I AM all you need. Walk in humility. Extend much grace to others. Always look for the good. Always assume positive intent. Seek to bring unity and love. Look for ways to promote others above yourself, for you can count on Me to find ways to raise you. You don’t need to look out for your own interests, I have them firmly in mind. Grow and encourage My children. Act with My heart. Be My hands. Love like Me.

I Yield {Moments with God}

{Sharing my heart with God} Father, I yield to you. All that I have and all that I am, I surrender to You for Your good purpose. I trust Your plans – even when I don’t understand – because I know You. I know Your character. I know I am safe with You. So have Your way. I offer myself as a living sacrifice. Such as I am, I give myself to You. Have Your way. Be magnified. Be glorified. I choose You. Be exalted in heaven and on earth.

{My prayer} May I choose what is holy. May I choose what is good. May I be a worthy vessel. Father, I delight in You, so have Your way.

Romans 12:1 (TPT) Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.

Joyful Surrender {Moments with God}

{smiling to myself as I share my heart with God} Here I am, Lord. Flawed, but wholehearted. Broken, but unashamed. For better or worse, I am Yours. Yours to move through. Yours to provide for. Yours to love. Yours to enjoy. And likely also Yours to get frustrated with in my moments of weakness. But for better or worse, I joyfully surrender all I am and all I have to You. Because You are worthy and faithful, I will ever choose You. Thank You, for being worthy, and thank You for being safe. I’m so grateful to have you to cling to – my true north, my cornerstone, my rock, my foundation – You are so good, faithful God. So yes, I joyfully surrender to You.

Romans 12:1 (AMP) Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.

Walk in Freedom

Romans 6:14 (NLT) Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.

Beloved, when you chose My covenant of grace, you were set free from the bondage of sin. Now is the time to walk in that freedom. Refuse to allow yourself to be ensnared by traps that have been laid for you.

Resist that which would enslave you and walk in truth. Refuse to make even small compromises to your faith. Give no quarter to the enemy. I AM with you. I strengthen you. Look to me and be not afraid. Rather walk with joy in the freedom you have been given.

Be Holy as I AM Holy

Romans 6:1-2 (NLT) Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?

Beloved, returning to sin makes about as much sense as rolling in dog excrement right after bathing. When you gave your life to Me, you chose a clean life. That choice declared future intentions. Would you then go back on your word as though it were nothing simply because you know that I love you enough to forgive you again?

Just as a good parent will continue to love their child regardless of their behavior, so I will always love you – even though that love comes at a cost. But I also know the consequences to your choices and want better for you. So make wise choices, beloved. Be steadfast in your desire to walk in righteousness – be holy as I AM holy.

Tenacious Hope

Romans 15:13 (TPT) Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope!

Beloved, may you be filled with contagious hope. May your hope be so tenacious that no circumstance or harsh words can quell it, no disappointment or confusion can dim it, and no delayed promise or unexpected direction can subdue it.

May your hope be so apparent and so steadfast that those around you can’t help but have their own hope stirred and fortified. As you draw from Me – the fountain of hope, may your reserves be filled to overflowing that you may share with those around from your surplus that you might be known as a releaser of hope.

Be Rooted in Hope

Romans 5:4 (VOICE) …When our characters are refined, we learn what it means to hope and anticipate God’s goodness.

Beloved, refuse to lose hope – even if the trials seem endless. Trust, and be rooted in faith, for you know who I AM, and you know My character, so anticipate My goodness. For I AM a good Father, and I love My children.

Let hope become your weapon, and make praise your battle cry. May My Word be your foundation, and may My Spirit lead you on. I AM the King of victory, and My heirs align with Me. So refuse to settle for anything less than My divine peace, for it is your legacy. Continue reading “Be Rooted in Hope”

Rise to the Challenge

Romans 5:3-4 (VOICE) …We also celebrate in seasons of suffering because we know that when we suffer we develop endurance, which shapes our characters…

Beloved, embrace trials with joy knowing growth comes in its midst. Refuse to be reluctant and drag the unpleasantness out, but rather trust your heart to My care. Take hold of My hand, for I will see you through.

Allow Me to develop your character. For like a diamond formed under intense pressure, so tribulations can bring forth shining beauty in you if you cling to Me in the process. So rise to the challenge. Be strengthened and beautified through the hardships that come. Beloved, hide yourself in Me. Continue reading “Rise to the Challenge”

Trust My Radical Grace

Romans 5:2 (VOICE) Jesus leads us into a place of radical grace where we are able to celebrate the hope of experiencing God’s glory.

Beloved, rest in My radical grace which was freely given to you. Cling fast to hope in seasons of testing, and know My grace is sufficient for all that is before you. I AM faithful, and I AM good. Trust in My mercy as you rely on My grace, for I will see you through.

Trust Me to be glorified even in the greatest trials, for I give beauty for ashes and joy for mourning, so rest in Me. Hope in Me. Cling fast, and trust My radical grace to see you through. Continue reading “Trust My Radical Grace”

My Fingerprints

Romans 1:20 (NLT) For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Beloved, shout your hallelujah! Refuse to silence your praise. For I AM worthy, and I AM high and lifted up – the exalted One – all glory belongs to Me. My fingerprints across creation declare the truth of who I AM. See Me.

You may not see the air you breathe though it sustains your life, and yet with total faith you accept its presence and the truth of its existence. In the same way, see My handiwork and allow it to point to Me. For I AM, and I AM good.
