See Yourself Rightly

Psalm 139:1 (VOICE) O Eternal One, You have explored my heart and know exactly who I am;

Beloved, I have seen you and I know who you are. I know you intimately, for everything concerning you, concerns Me. There is nothing about you that is beneath My notice, and in fact I know you far more than you even know yourself. I created you. So trust My understanding of who you are over your own skewed understanding.

Refuse to be the lion looking in a mirror convinced they’re seeing a house cat in the reflection. Understand the strength and power you have been given. To refuse to see the gifts I’ve given you does a disservice to all those around you because it robs them of the beauty of all that you are.

So beloved, see yourself rightly. For it is not pride to acknowledge how you’ve been made, nor is it arrogance to acknowledge the strength you’ve been given. I AM with you and I sustain you – of course you are mighty! My hand upholds you, and in Me you can do all things. So embrace the fullness of all you are.

Land of Blessing

Psalm 16:6 (TPT) Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I’m overwhelmed by the privileges that come with following you, for you have given me the best!

Beloved, walk with Me and step into your land of promise. Trust Me, and yield to My path and My ways. See what I have in store for you: blessings in ways you never imagined, and beauty from ashes too.

Resist the urge to judge circumstances with human eyes, but rather tune into your spiritual senses and see all I have in store. See the impact of what I’ve called you to and walk it out in humble obedience as I bring you into your land of blessing.

Humble Strength

James 3:7-8 (CSB) Every kind of animal, bird, reptile, and fish is tamed and has been tamed by humankind, but no one can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

Beloved, without My help, taming your tongue would be an arduous and ultimately unsuccessful task. But with Me all things are possible. Surrender your voice to Me. Ask Me to fill your mouth. For I AM fully able to strengthen you to walk in humility.

When you care more for Me than the thoughts and opinions of man, holding your tongue simply becomes a gift and an offering to Me, and I find it most pleasing. So walk in that humble strength, for it is beautiful. Continue reading “Humble Strength”

Simply Reflect Me

James 3:17 (NLT) But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

Beloved, the fruit of true wisdom is sweet. It is easily recognizable, and tastes of Me. It is pure and cultivates harmony. It builds up and encourages that which is good. It is founded in truth and My Word. It isn’t self-seeking or unkind. It’s merciful, and encourages goodness.

Those who walk in this wisdom, seek to understand. They listen well – to men and to Me. They embrace that which is right, and inspire righteousness and mercy. They refuse to walk in judgment, but rather from a heart of love they seek to bring all into alignment with Me. They are genuine, and walk in sincerity. Their ultimate goal is to simply reflect Me. Righteous Reflection

Psalm 141:5 (VOICE) Let those who do right strike me down in kindness and correct me in love. Their kind correction washes over my head like pure oil; do not let me be foolish and refuse such compassion…

Beloved, stay receptive to correction and open to instruction. Let those who speak in wisdom reflect My heart. For I guide you with My eye, and chasten those I love, so expect My direction from wherever it may come.

Refuse to take offense to admonishment. For even when unkindly given, it may give insight that can strengthen you. So bring it all to Me in prayer, trusting that I will lead you. Then in humility live as best as you can as a righteous reflection of Me.

Refuse to Be a Fool

Proverbs 18:21 (TPT) Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.

Beloved, use your words to reflect My heart. Resist the urge to indulge your pride, and instead choose to walk in loving humility – be long suffering and extend much grace. For there have been moments you yourself needed patience and grace, and they will come again, so sow that you might reap.

I bring life, and life more abundant, and I desire that you choose to be like Me. So be circumspect, and count the cost before you speak – refuse to be a fool and vent every feeling. Instead, share your heart with Me, and allow My Spirit to lead you through, for I will not lead you astray. Continue reading “Refuse to Be a Fool”

Unique Gifts

1 Corinthians 12:7 (VOICE) Each believer has received a gift that manifests the Spirit’s power and presence. That gift is given for the good of the whole community.

Beloved, I have bestowed on you gifts that are unique to you. Even as similar giftings flow within My Body, the manifestation of each is unique to the way I have designed the vessel through which it pours.

Resist the urge to dismiss your gifts as being without value simply because they are different. Likewise, resist the urge to esteem your gifts more highly than anyone else’s, for each gift is necessary and designed with intention.

So embrace your unique design, and the way I’ve chosen to manifest My glory through you. Be intentional to yield to My Spirit’s flow as purely as possible – laying down any personal agendas or desires, and simply allow Me to move. For in that, I AM truly glorified, and you share in My glory.

Generous with Patience

Ephesians 4:2 (TPT) With tender humility and quiet patience, always demonstrate gentleness and generous love toward one another, especially toward those who may try your patience.

Beloved, choose to be generous with patience. Resist the urge to surrender to a fleshly response when you are tried. For as you stay rooted in humility, you are fully able to choose the high road – to walk in love, even when it may not seem “deserved.”

It is no great feat to offer patience to those who appreciate it and never trample on it. But truly My glory is seen in you when you choose to love the unloveable, and extend grace, patience, and forgiveness to those who may not even be aware they have done wrong.

Love big. Let humility fill your core, and patience pour forth in love. For, beloved, you never know when your godly kindness will literally change someone’s life. Isn’t that possibility worth the cost of your pride? Know that as you walk in this kind of grace, you are storing up treasures in heaven, and reflecting My heart on earth.

Be Undone

Isaiah 6:5 (NKJV) So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”

Beloved, as you rightly see Me, you cannot help but be humbled. It is not a bad thing to be completely wrecked in My presence. You are safe with me, so be undone. Let the trappings of the world disappear and see rightly, for from that place truth comes forth.

Beloved, I break that I might heal – and I strengthen you in the healing. I prepare you for the times ahead. Trust yourself to Me, and be undone in My presence. Then let me bring strength and restoration as I commission you for the road ahead.  Continue reading “Be Undone”

Expanding Reverential Awe

Psalms 96:4 (TPT) For the Lord’s greatness is beyond description and he deserves all the praise that comes to him. He is our King-God and it’s right to be in holy awe of him.

Beloved, though it is vital for you to know your identity in Me, don’t get stuck there. Resist the urge to keep your eyes on yourself. Rather keep your focus on Me and on who I AM. Stay in a place of humility. Allow your faith to enlarge as your reverential awe expands because you are learning to see Me as I AM.

Blessings and beauty come from My hand, so look to Me. Wait on Me to move – and wait with joy. For simply knowing Me and having a relationship with Me is worthy of gratitude. I AM beyond description, and yet I make Myself known to you. From the outpouring of My love I nourish your heart. Embrace your expanding reverential awe as you come to know Me more, for I desire to be known by you.
