Time to Blossom

Song of Solomon 4:12 (VOICE) You are a locked garden, my sister, my bride, open only to me; a spring closed up tight, a sealed fountain.

Beloved, I’ve set you apart, for you are Mine and Mine alone. Your heart belongs to Me. You are accepted and chosen, cherished and loved. I AM devoted to you – you mean the world to Me.

Rest in My favor. Be shored up by My strength. For My love is steadfast and true. My eyes are upon you, My ear is attentive, and My heart is forever true. So rest in My goodness, and rest in My love. Flourish in the safe place that My affection grants you. It’s now time to blossom and come to fullness of joy, to bloom nourished by the love that surrounds you.

Release

1 Peter 5:7 (TPT) Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.

Beloved, release all that is not serving you. For I desire that you would flourish and have abundant life. Just as a gardener pulls weeds and prunes to allow his plants to flourish to their fullest, so you must do for yourself. I AM fully able to take on the things that weigh on you, and to strengthen you to release all that is no longer needed.

So whether there are patterns of thought (like worry or fear), or patterns of behavior (like taking on responsibilities you have not been called to or that belong to someone else), or even physical patterns (like clutter that distracts you and steals your focus); whatever it may be that is holding you back from more growth, release it now. For you are worth cultivating and tending. You are dearly loved and valuable beyond measure, so cherish yourself accordingly.

Walk in My Favor

Proverbs 3:27-33 (VOICE) Do not envy someone who profits at the expense of others or copy any of his tyrannical ways, For crooked people are detestable to the Eternal, but those with integrity receive His counsel. His curse lingers over the wicked and their families, but He forever favors residence of those who do what is right.

Beloved, resist the urge to covet those who appear to flourish while walking in a way that is contrary to Me. There is no peace there. For without My blessing, even abundance can seem a curse. There is no greater blessing than alignment and oneness with Me.

So align your heart and see with true wisdom the hearts of men. Find peace in fellowship with Me, and flourish as you walk in My favor.

Proverbs 3:27-35 (VOICE) Do not withhold what is good from those who deserve it; if it is within your power to give it, do it. Do not send your neighbor away, saying, “Get back with me tomorrow. I can give it to you then,” when what he needs is already in your hand. Make no plans that could result in injury to your neighbor; after all, he should be more secure because he lives near you. Avoid fighting with anyone without good reason, especially when no one has hurt you; you have nothing to fight about. Do not envy someone who profits at the expense of others or copy any of his tyrannical ways, For crooked people are detestable to the Eternal, but those with integrity receive His counsel. His curse lingers over the wicked and their families, but He forever favors residence of those who do what is right. God treats the arrogant as they treat others, mocking the mockers, scorning the scornful, but He pours out His grace on the humble. In the end, the wise will receive honor, but fools will face humiliation.

Place of Overflow

Luke 10:40 (TPT) But Martha became exasperated by finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.”

Beloved, whatever you do, do with love. For the heart of the giver matters as much as the act itself. Sow what you sow with joy. Serve as you serve with love. Be generous from your place of overflow.

If you have no overflow to pour from, be intentional to pause and find a place of rest. Be refreshed in My presence. Refuse to allow yourself to be like an earthen vessel that becomes cracked and dried. Saturate yourself in Me. Then give generously from your surplus.

Luke 10:38-42 (TPT) As Jesus and the disciples continued on their journey, they came to a village where a woman welcomed Jesus into her home. Her name was Martha and she had a sister named Mary. Mary sat down attentively before the Master, absorbing every revelation he shared. But Martha became exasperated by finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.” The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Are they really that important? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.”

Life is Coming Forth

Psalm 1:3 (VOICE) You are like a tree, planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time; your leaves never fade or curl in the summer sun . No matter what you do, you prosper.

Beloved, expand to the left and to the right, for now is the time to grow. Your roots have gone deep, so your foundation is secure. So let life burst forth, for life will not be contained. Rather vigorously growth takes place when the possibility of it can no longer await manifestation.

Just as a woman nine months pregnant cannot decide to delay delivery inevitably or until it is more convenient, so shall this new life – new growth – come amidst travail but with joyous conclusion. Conclusion of the labor simply marks the beginning of a new and greater work. Indeed, be ready, beloved, for life is coming forth.

Psalm 1:1-3 (VOICE) God’s blessings follow you and await you at every turn: when you don’t follow the advice of those who delight in wicked schemes, When you avoid sin’s highway, when judgment and sarcasm beckon you, but you refuse. For you, the Eternal’s Word is your happiness. It is your focus—from dusk to dawn. You are like a tree, planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time; your leaves never fade or curl in the summer sun . No matter what you do, you prosper.

Flourish in Abundant Life

Psalm 1:2 (VOICE) For you, the Eternal’s Word is your happiness. It is your focus—from dusk to dawn.

Beloved, there is so much of Me to know and explore. So feast on My Word, and meditate on it night and day. For as you seek Me, I allow Myself to be found. I beckon you deeper – a feast of life and truth before you, indulge in Me and be satisfied.

As you make Me your focus and live with your heart ever fixed on Mine, My strength becomes your foundation and your joy will come from Me. For only I complete you, and in Me you find your rest. So feast on Me and the things of My Kingdom, and flourish in life abundant.

Let Your Roots Go Deep

Psalm 84:2 (TPT) …When I’m near you my heart and my soul will sing and worship with my joyful songs of you, my true source and spring of life!

Beloved, I AM the vine and you are the branches. I AM your source of life, and apart from Me you cannot flourish. So let your roots go deep, and satisfy your thirst. Feed on Me and on My Word – allow Me to sustain you and bring increase.

Rejoice in the life I give you, for even in the hardships there is beauty – you have but to look to see My hand at work. I AM ever working for your benefit, and for the Kingdom. Trust Me, and bring forth praise. Continue reading “Let Your Roots Go Deep”

I Make the Desert Bloom

Hosea 10:12 (RSV) Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and rain salvation upon you.

Beloved, be intentional to sow life and righteousness which brings life. For I AM faithful to pour out My rain in season bringing breakthrough as the seemingly dead and dry places suddenly spring forth with life and flourish.

Rest in My presence and wait on Me. Reap the fruit of steadfast love. Trust Me to move in My perfect timing, and trust My hand to be evident. For nothing is impossible with Me. I make the desert bloom. So dwell with Me under the rain of My love, and watch yourself blossom too.

Heed My Words

Proverbs 8:36 (VOICE) But heed my warning: the one who goes against me will only hurt himself, for all who despise me are playing with fire and courting death.

Beloved, I long to see you prosper. When I give you instructions or even a warning, I’m not doing so because I like to be in control or simply to exert My will over yours. I do it because I have understanding you do not. And if you will but trust Me, I will lead you rightly and save you much pain.

However, for those who resist My instructions and who refuse to heed My admonishments, avoidable hardships will obstruct their path. This is not some cruel retaliation on My part for the one who doesn’t give Me proper respect, but rather it is simply cause and effect. If you play with fire, you’d be foolish to be surprised when you get burned.

So heed My words, beloved, and heed them well. With a heart full of wisdom, choose to trust Me implicitly, and obey in love. For when you do, you will be blessed coming and going. And I richly desire that you flourish because I long to see you prosper.

Watch and Wait and See {Moments with God}

{my heart cries} Hear me, Lord. My heart weeps until I feel like I could burst. The aching of this heartache seems endless and unbearable, and yet I know You are faithful. And yet I know I can rest in You. I trust You to bring beauty from these ashes, for You are good and Your goodness will reign forever – like a downpour of rain, Your goodness unfailingly saturates us.

{He whispers} Trust Me. Feel the gentle flow of My Spirit at work. Feel the movement from My breath as I bring life where it seemed nothing could flourish again. I AM the restorer. I AM the redeemer. I bring life, and do so abundantly. Wait and watch and see.

Psalm 17:6 (VOICE) I am crying aloud to You, O True God, for I long to know Your answer. Hear me, O God. Hear my plea. Hear my prayer for help.
