Welcome Me

Luke 10:38-39 (TPT) As Jesus and the disciples continued on their journey, they came to a village where a woman welcomed Jesus into her home. Her name was Martha and she had a sister named Mary…

Beloved, the first step to intimacy is creating room for it to occur. Just as a couple cannot experience intimacy if they never spend time alone together or are constantly allowing interruptions to disturb them, so we cannot experience an intimate relationship if you do not make room for Me.

Welcome Me, beloved. Invite Me to tarry with you just as I’ve invited you to dwell with Me. In life you have many choices of where to spend your time. Choose Me. Welcome Me. Then keep welcoming Me. It is not a one-time occurrence, but rather an ongoing relationship. So create the space, make room, and abide with Me.

Luke 10:38-42 (TPT) As Jesus and the disciples continued on their journey, they came to a village where a woman welcomed Jesus into her home. Her name was Martha and she had a sister named Mary. Mary sat down attentively before the Master, absorbing every revelation he shared. But Martha became exasperated by finishing the numerous household chores in preparation for her guests, so she interrupted Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t you think it’s unfair that my sister left me to do all the work by myself? You should tell her to get up and help me.” The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Are they really that important? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.”

Hopelessly Devoted to You {Moments with God}

{I laugh to myself as I repurpose the name of an old song as a loving refrain to God} Hopelessly devoted to You… hopelessly devoted to You. I’m hopelessly devoted to You.

{After pausing to look up the literal meaning to hopeless and finding one of Merriam-Webster’s definitions was indeed accurate with “not susceptible to remedy or cure.”} So true, Father. Nothing can cause my heart towards you to change. In hardships, I draw nearer. In prosperous times, I praise louder. In confusion, I cling tighter. My certainty is steadfast in both that You are real, and that You are a rewarder of those who seek you wholeheartedly. So yes, without question I am happily and wholeheartedly hopelessly devoted to You. May my life be a testament to Your goodness and may it bring You glory.

Hebrews 11:6 (TPT) And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him.

Joyful Surrender {Moments with God}

{smiling to myself as I share my heart with God} Here I am, Lord. Flawed, but wholehearted. Broken, but unashamed. For better or worse, I am Yours. Yours to move through. Yours to provide for. Yours to love. Yours to enjoy. And likely also Yours to get frustrated with in my moments of weakness. But for better or worse, I joyfully surrender all I am and all I have to You. Because You are worthy and faithful, I will ever choose You. Thank You, for being worthy, and thank You for being safe. I’m so grateful to have you to cling to – my true north, my cornerstone, my rock, my foundation – You are so good, faithful God. So yes, I joyfully surrender to You.

Romans 12:1 (AMP) Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.

Persist in Faith

James 1:3 (AMP) Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace].

Beloved, resist the urge to hide from times of testing, for – though they are challenging – they are always for your good. So embrace the trials with joy, knowing that as you persist in faith you are cultivating beautiful character that is well worth the effort.

Just as Jesus slept during the storm, so you can find peace even in the midst of chaos and turbulence when your heart rests in Me. So embrace the peace that comes with being a child of God, and face the journey ahead with confidence knowing whether good times await or bad, it is well with your soul.

James 1:2-5 (VOICE) Don’t run from tests and hardships, brothers and sisters. As difficult as they are, you will ultimately find joy in them; if you embrace them, your faith will blossom under pressure and teach you true patience as you endure. And true patience brought on by endurance will equip you to complete the long journey and cross the finish line —mature, complete, and wanting nothing. If you don’t have all the wisdom needed for this journey, then all you have to do is ask God for it; and God will grant all that you need. He gives lavishly and never scolds you for asking.

I Delight to Prosper You

Deuteronomy 30:9-10 (AMP) Then the Lord your God shall make you abundantly prosperous in everything that you do, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your cattle and in the produce of your land; for the Lord will again delight over you for good, just as He delighted over your fathers, if you listen to and obey the voice of the Lord your God to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul (your entire being).

Beloved, I delight to prosper you. It pleases Me that you should have enough – even more than enough that you might share liberally. For as you choose Me with all your heart, and as you seek Me above all else, blessings surely follow.

When you choose good, good is the result. And when you choose evil, evil is the result. This does not mean hardships will never come, it simply means I will bring beauty from ashes and you will overcome. So choose Me, and may you prosper even as your soul prospers – and may it prosper abundantly.

Be Generous

Deuteronomy 15:10 (VOICE) So give generously to the person in need. Don’t feel badly about this when you’re doing it; because of your generosity, the Eternal your God will bless you in everything you do, in every project you begin.

Beloved, be generous both of spirit and of means, for in doing so you reflect the heart of God. For I AM generous and gracious, slow to anger and rich in mercy, and I AM good. Be like Me.

Stagnating your flow doesn’t truly increase what you have, rather it decreases what I AM able to pour through you. So be willing, and be responsive to My Spirit’s leading. Then when prompted, pour – and pour generously and do so with joy, knowing you are a pleasing reflection of Me when you are doing so.

Honor the Gift of Liberty

Ephesians 2:6 (VOICE) He raised us up with Him and seated us in the heavenly realms with our beloved Jesus the Anointed, the Liberating King.

Beloved, walk in the liberty that you have been gifted. For one who persists on living in bondage despite the high cost paid to release them, dishonors the gift they’ve been given. Instead be intentional to honor the gift of liberty you’ve been given.

Refuse to give even the smallest toehold to the enemy, for he has been thoroughly routed. And if you see him seeking to retake ground, stand fast and call on Me. For I AM the victorious One, and none can stand against Me – and you have chosen My side.

Life is Coming Forth

Psalm 1:3 (VOICE) You are like a tree, planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time; your leaves never fade or curl in the summer sun . No matter what you do, you prosper.

Beloved, expand to the left and to the right, for now is the time to grow. Your roots have gone deep, so your foundation is secure. So let life burst forth, for life will not be contained. Rather vigorously growth takes place when the possibility of it can no longer await manifestation.

Just as a woman nine months pregnant cannot decide to delay delivery inevitably or until it is more convenient, so shall this new life – new growth – come amidst travail but with joyous conclusion. Conclusion of the labor simply marks the beginning of a new and greater work. Indeed, be ready, beloved, for life is coming forth.

Psalm 1:1-3 (VOICE) God’s blessings follow you and await you at every turn: when you don’t follow the advice of those who delight in wicked schemes, When you avoid sin’s highway, when judgment and sarcasm beckon you, but you refuse. For you, the Eternal’s Word is your happiness. It is your focus—from dusk to dawn. You are like a tree, planted by flowing, cool streams of water that never run dry. Your fruit ripens in its time; your leaves never fade or curl in the summer sun . No matter what you do, you prosper.

Flourish in Abundant Life

Psalm 1:2 (VOICE) For you, the Eternal’s Word is your happiness. It is your focus—from dusk to dawn.

Beloved, there is so much of Me to know and explore. So feast on My Word, and meditate on it night and day. For as you seek Me, I allow Myself to be found. I beckon you deeper – a feast of life and truth before you, indulge in Me and be satisfied.

As you make Me your focus and live with your heart ever fixed on Mine, My strength becomes your foundation and your joy will come from Me. For only I complete you, and in Me you find your rest. So feast on Me and the things of My Kingdom, and flourish in life abundant.

Psalm 1:1-3 (VOICE) God’s blessings follow you and await you at every turn: when you don’t follow the advice of those who delight in wicked schemes, When you avoid sin’s highway, when judgment and sarcasm beckon you, but you refuse. Sincerity and Truth

Psalm 1:1 (VOICE) God’s blessings follow you and await you at every turn…When you avoid sin’s highway, when judgment and sarcasm beckon you, but you refuse.

Beloved, resist the urge to indulge in sarcasm regardless of how seemingly innocuous it may be. For careless words may wound as surely as the fiercest blade, and woe be to the one who uttered them.

Let your yes be yes, and your no be no, and let sincerity and truth ring from your mouth. For the heart and wellbeing of another far outweigh a moment’s thoughtless indulgence – when carefree becomes careless to another’s heart.

Psalm 1:1-3 (VOICE) God’s blessings follow you and await you at every turn: when you don’t follow the advice of those who delight in wicked schemes, When you avoid sin’s highway, when judgment and sarcasm beckon you, but you refuse.
