Don’t Hide

Matthew 5:15-16 (TLB) Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.

Beloved, you are My show piece – a glorious example of My beauty and grace made manifest in the earth. Don’t hide yourself; hiding yourself means hiding the glory of My handiwork that was created to bless, encourage, and impact the world around you.

Shine brightly, beloved. Refuse to hide who I’ve created you to be by bending to the opinions of man, but instead boldly live a life of authenticity, displaying the true you in all your gloriously flawed beauty that My power and majesty might be made known.

A True Reflection of Me

Matthew 5:14 (TPT) Your lives light up the world. Let others see your light from a distance, for how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop?

Beloved, I’ve created you to be seen. I’ve created you to have impact. Just as a light on a hill can be seen for miles, you have no idea the extent of your influence nor will you on this side of heaven.

But beloved, let that also be a word of caution to be sure your light is pure – a true reflection of Me. Refuse to be concerned with anyone’s reaction to your light, instead choosing to focus on the Source, and deeply drawing from Me.

Emanate Light

Matthew 5:16 (VOICE) You are like that illuminating light. Let your light shine everywhere you go, that you may illumine creation, so men and women everywhere may see your good actions, may see creation at its fullest, may see your devotion to Me , and may turn and praise your Father in heaven because of it.

Beloved, you are My ambassador, a representative of Me. Choose your actions accordingly for the world will know Me through you. May you walk in mercy. May you extend much grace. And may you saturate those around you with love. May you walk in humility and give compassion without reserve.

These fruits of My Spirit on display are a bright light slicing through the darkness surrounding you. The actions speak louder than any words could – penetrating even the hardest of hearts. So emanate light, beloved. Throw it forth liberally and without reserve that the world might see and know I AM good.

Conduit of Love

Matthew 5:43-48 (TPT) …What reward do you deserve if you only love the loveable? Don’t even the tax collectors do that?…

Beloved, it isn’t enough to simply love those who love you (although you should do that too, and do so without reserve). Love like Mine is sacrificial. It costs you something. If you would be like Me, your love must be the same.

So beloved, love the unlovable. Love those who are hurting and lost. Love those who are angry and lashing out. Love deeply and as if you’ll never get hurt. Love because you have been loved even when you were hurt, angry, and unlovable you were loved by Me. Be a conduit of love, for love changes everything. Continue reading “Conduit of Love”

Command the Storm

Matthew 8:26 (VOICE) …Jesus got up, told the wind and the waves to calm down, and they did. The sea became still and calm once again.

Beloved, command the storm. You have been called to do greater things, so refuse to be intimidated by what you see in the flesh. Instead walk in the authority you have been given and trust Me to move.

I AM faithful. I AM true. I AM mighty and you are made in My image. Refuse to be silent. Refuse to be impressed by chaos surrounding you, and instead usher in the peace you have been given. Command the storm to be still, beloved, then wait and watch Me move.

Offer Life-Changing Love

Matthew 5:43-48 (TPT) …For that will reveal your identity as children of your heavenly Father. He is kind to all by bringing the sunrise to warm and rainfall to refresh whether a person does what is good or evil…

Beloved, determine how you intend to love, and do so without judgment or condition, for I bring rain and sunshine over all without distinction and My salvation is a gift to any who would receive. Love can change even the hardest heart.

If no one loves the unlovable, how can we hope they will ever change? If no one shows them anything different to what they are accustomed, they’ll never believe there truly is another way to live. Love Without Reserve

Matthew 5:43-48 (TPT) …do something wonderful for the one who hates you, and respond to the very ones who persecute you by praying for them. For that will reveal your identity as children of your heavenly Father. He is kind to all by bringing the sunrise to warm and rainfall to refresh whether a person does what is good or evil…

Beloved, your actions speak clearly whether you know Me or not, so consider what you’re communicating with each move and decision. Would you choose to reflect Me? Love unconditionally. Bestow mercy and extend grace. Reflect My heart.

Refuse to love only the easily loveable, but rather allow your love to be tested by loving those who resist it or who operate in hate. Choose to respond differently. Allow humility to be cultivated in your heart. Lay down your pride and offer someone what reflects My heart rather than what their actions call for. Love without restraint. Love without reserve. Trust Me Unreservedly

Matthew 11:6 (TPT) And tell John that the blessing of heaven comes upon those who never lose their faith in me — no matter what happens!

Beloved, resist the temptation to judge My ways. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are My ways your ways. My thoughts are higher, and you need not understand to obey. Faith is trust. The foundation of your life is your faith; therefore, stand fast in your trust of Me regardless of your understanding (or lack thereof), and walk in obedience.

Move in the good work I have set before you. I will reveal each step in its time, so simply trust My Holy Spirit to lead. I AM more capable of leading than you are of messing up, so trust that as you keep your heart tender toward Me, I will always find a way to direct you. Follow My Lead

Matthew 11:28-30 (GW) …Place my yoke over your shoulders, and learn from me…

Beloved, partner with Me and follow My lead. Even when two oxen are yoked together, one is leading. If both tried to lead, there would be strife and confusion. If the one submitting falls behind or surges ahead, he pulls the team out of alignment, inhibits the progress, and alters the path.

In the same way, you must stay aligned with Me. Refuse to allow fear, doubt, or apathy to slow your progress. Refuse to indulge impatience by stepping ahead of Me. Refuse to fight Me for control. Make Room for Me to Move

Matthew 5:43-48 (TPT) …respond to the very ones who persecute you by praying for them…

Beloved, prayer releases people and situations into My very capable hands. Refuse to be impressed by the hurtful words and actions the enemy would distract you with, and instead see with My eyes and perceive what is at the root.

Pray healing and restoration over those who would do you harm. That in no way gives approval to their wrongs, it simply shifts the spiritual atmosphere and makes room for Me to move. Be intentional to invite Me into every moment and trust Me to move. Continue reading “Make Room for Me to Move”
