Selah (again)

Psalm 24:10 (AMP) Who is [He then] this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory [who rules over all creation with His heavenly armies]. Selah.

Beloved, pause. Stop and reflect, truly take moment and ponder who I AM. Ponder My glory, the works of My hands, My character and identity. It’s far too easy to get caught up in the rhetoric and lose sight of who I truly am. I AM more than simply words regurgitated by well-meaning people who get so busy saying the “right” things they’ve missed the point: relationship with Me.

So pause. Make room for Me to speak, make room for Me to love you, and make room for all I share and teach you to penetrate. Meditate on Me – on My words, both rhema and logos (whispered in your ear and written in My word). Slow down. Refuse to be tempted to rush this journey. Some things cannot be hurried. So pause. Ponder Me, beloved. Selah.

Note: I find it ironic that in a year of doing these Prophetic Nuggets, this particular post “accidentally” got posted (and sent out to the subscribers) twice. 🙂 After my initial embarrassment, I realized God had this happen on purpose because He wanted to re-emphasize the need to pause. Selah

Psalm 24:10 (AMP) Who is [He then] this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory [who rules over all creation with His heavenly armies]. Selah.

Allow Faith to Blossom

James 1:2-4 (VOICE) Don’t run from tests and hardships, brothers and sisters. As difficult as they are, you will ultimately find joy in them; if you embrace them, your faith will blossom under pressure and teach you true patience as you endure. And true patience brought on by endurance will equip you to complete the long journey and cross the finish line —mature, complete, and wanting nothing.

Beloved, allow faith to blossom – bursting forth in strength and life – like a chick breaking through its shell, having found the strength required to go forth and live through perseverance gained by the hardship of the immediate challenge. Press in and persevere.

Trust Me. Trust that I will be with you to strengthen and encourage you in your moments of need. Trust that I know what you can endure and what is needful for what lies ahead. I AM the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega, I AM always mindful of what is best for My children and for My Kingdom, and I use all things for good.

So in the moments it feels like too much, focus your heart on Me. Allow Me to renew your strength, restore your joy, and give you peace. Allow Me to guide you into the fullness of all you were created and called to be. Refuse to shy away from trials, instead seeing them as tests to be conquered that your faith might increase. So allow your faith to blossom, beloved, and do so with joy.

Replace Worry with Prayer and Thanksgiving

Philippians 4:6 (NLT) Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Beloved, I AM in control. You don’t need to fret or worry. Release any fear and rest in your trust of Me. Allow My love to draw you back, deeper into Me, and My peace to quiet your soul, while you press in for more of Me.

Keep turning your heart and mind back to Me as the cares of the world seek to distract your gaze. Only My love satisfies. Only My peace brings true rest. So with your mouth declare My goodness, and with your words share the things on your heart, and trust Me – the lover of your soul – to see to each need and concern. Cast your cares on Me and let your heart overflow with gratitude and thanksgiving fall from your lips without end.

Weightless in Him

{my heart cries} I will seek You, God. I choose You. Regardless of circumstance. Regardless of the cost. I choose You because You are worth it all. You are so good and Your love exceeds my understanding.

{He responds} I will meet you, beloved. As you step out in faith, placing all your trust in Me, I will meet you there. I AM faithful and My heart for you is true. Rest in Me.

{feeling His hand extended toward me, I look at it – so large, plenty big to handle anything that might come against me or give me cause for concern – and I place my hand in His. I feel Him gently pull me along side Him and the closer I get I feel lighter and lighter until I am weightless by His side. Aligned with Him. Trusting in Him. Yielded to His lead. Resting in His loving care of me.}

1 Peter 5:7 (VOICE) Since God cares for you, let Him carry all your burdens and worries.

Be Mindful of Your Priorities

Haggai 1:9 (GW) “You expected a lot, but you received a little. When you bring something home, I blow it away. Why?” declares the Lord of Armies. “It’s because my house lies in ruins while each of you is busy working on your own house.

Beloved, be mindful of your priorities. Be intentional about being rightly aligned with Me and My will. Refuse to succumb to the temptation to be fixated on yourself and your selfish pursuits, and instead be steadfast in pursuing the plans I have for you, for they are good. As you delight in Me, I will give you the desires of your heart. Be intentional to delight in Me.

When I bring to naught your  efforts, it is not that I’m acting like a toddler throwing a tantrum because you didn’t pay attention to Me first, it is because I want what is best for you; therefore, I cannot prosper that which is outside My will, but rather only that which aligns with it. So seek Me first. Focus yourself on Me. Yield to My leading, and trust Me to lead you rightly.

Acceptable, Good, and Perfect

Romans 12:2 (ESV) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Beloved, refuse to be distracted from your call by things you are “able” to do. Just because you are capable, does not necessarily mean it is where you should spend your time.

Though you have the choice to spend your time in My “acceptable” will or even My “good” will, wouldn’t you rather focus your time and energies on My “perfect “ will? I have beautiful things planned for you, beloved. I desire for you to walk in the fullness of them.

So refuse to be derailed by a sense of obligation, emotional blackmail, manipulation, or a desire to please man. Put your relationships in My hands, and lead by example, walking in all I have called you to and shining brightly for the world to see.

No Toehold

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (TPT) …Love is not easily irritated…

Beloved, purpose to walk in humility, grace, and compassion. Let little annoyances and inconveniences roll off your back without effect. Refuse to give them credence or room to have impact.

Be so thoroughly saturated in My love that pesky things don’t even annoy. Be so filled with My joy that nothing can steal it. Have your eyes so full of Me and My vision that everything else is put in proper proportion. Refuse to give a toehold for the enemy to leverage; nor allow pride, thoughtlessness, or foolishness to injure any relationship. Continue reading “No Toehold”

Keep My Precepts Forever Before You

Psalm 119:141 (VOICE) I may be insignificant to some and hated by others, but at least I do not forget Your precepts.

Beloved, never lose sight of the basics – the foundation of your faith. It is not a simple thing to allow My word to truly be your anchor. It takes dedication and focus over time – keeping the main thing the main thing. Focus, beloved. Be intentional and make the time.

The gifts of My Spirit are an outpouring of relationship with Me, and knowing Me through My word is foundational in that process. In the fun and excitement, don’t lose sight of the essentials. Keep My precepts forever before you. Meditate on them day and night. Seek Me in My word, for when you seek Me there, surely you will find Me. Continue reading “Keep My Precepts Forever Before You”

Rooted in Me

James 1:7 (TPT) When you are half-hearted and wavering it leaves you unstable. Can you really expect to receive anything from the Lord when you’re in that condition?

Beloved, refuse to be blown about by circumstances and emotions instead choosing to be quietly and firmly rooted in Me. Seek My will and trust it when I give you wisdom. Step out in faith knowing I AM faithful to guide each step. Refuse to give ear to the enemy’s lies and distractions. Stay firm.

Beloved, you know My sheep know My voice and that I graciously give wisdom to all who ask, so be at peace – knowing full well I AM more than able to steer you through any storm and quiet your heart as you allow Me to. Waiting upon Me is not a place of inaction, but rather a state of readiness. Being willing and yielded to go with My flow and allowing My Spirit to guide. Lay down the burden of “figuring things out” and seek Me. I AM faithful to lead, faithful to guide, and faithful to provide.
