Expect the Rain

Ecclesiastes 11:3 (NET) If the clouds are full of rain, they will empty themselves on the earth, and whether a tree falls to the south or to the north, the tree will lie wherever it falls.

Beloved, expect the rain, and stay in that place of hopeful expectations as you wait on Me to move. For you know I AM faithful, and you know I AM good. I bring forth bounty in season and My rain on all. Abundance is coming, the drought is near its end.

Rejoice at the knowledge it’s coming. Rejoice as the mist starts to fall. Receive the little and make room for the more, for when I pour out, I do not hold back. So receive, beloved. Rejoice and receive.

Wait Expectantly

1 Kings 18:43-44 (VOICE) Elijah (to his servant): Go now, and look in the direction of the sea. Servant (returning to Elijah): I did as you asked, and there is nothing in the direction of the sea. Elijah gave him the same instruction seven times, “Go back, and look in the direction of the sea.” The servant did as Elijah requested each time; and on the seventh time, he told Elijah, “A minuscule cloud, as tiny as the hand of a man, is ascending from the sea.”…

Beloved, wait expectantly – with a heart filled with hope, and watch for me to move. For if I have spoken, will I not act? And if I have promised, will I not fulfill? If you know Me, you know of My faithfulness from generation to generation. I AM always faithful, and I AM always good.

Stir up your faith during your time of waiting, and be intentional to stir up the faith of those around you. Remind yourself of all I have already done, and consider all I have said I will do. Rest in the assurance of My character. And wait expectantly and with joy, knowing that the wait only serves to sweeten the inevitable fulfillment of My promises. Continue reading “Wait Expectantly”

My Spirit Brings Life

Genesis 8:11 (VOICE) This time the dove came back to him in the evening, and there, in its beak, was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew then that the waters had begun to retreat from the land.

Beloved, My Spirit brings life. It brings hope. So wait on My Spirit for wisdom and direction. Trust Me to give a clear sign so you know which way to go. For I AM intentional and clear. I desire to be understood by you even more than you desire to understand.

So listen, and trust Me to lead. My sheep know My voice, and the nudging of My Holy Spirit is known to them. In love, obey. Then watch as life bursts forth and I bring you from glory unto glory, for you are Mine.

Be Kissed by the Wind of My Spirit

Psalm 23:2-3 (VOICE) He provides me rest in rich, green fields beside streams of refreshing water. He soothes my fears; He makes me whole again…

Beloved, rest in the lush landscape of My love. Be kissed by the wind of My Spirit, and allow it – that the gentle breeze, My very breath – to stir you, bringing restoration and life. Be still, precious one, and be intentional to pause in this place of healing.

Resist the urge to allow the things of life to force you into activity when wholeness is found in My presence. Rest in Me. Be refreshed by the water of My Word. Be strengthened by My love. Release your cares and worries, let go of any fears, and simply wait on Me. Beloved, I AM the restorer of your soul, so rest in Me.

Worth the Wait

Proverbs 8:34 (VOICE) The one who listens to me, who carefully seeks me in everyday things and delays action until my way is apparent, that one will find true happiness.

Beloved, wait on Me. I desire to be heard even more than you desire to hear Me. If you take the time to listen, I will ensure that I AM heard. For I love to share with My children. I love when you curl up at my feet – that intimacy is so sweet to Me. So press in, for I AM here.

Wait on My instruction, and listen to My voice. That is the path of blessing, and I will happily show the way. Resist the urge to presume My thoughts or to rely on your own wisdom. Instead, be intentional to wait on Me, for I AM worth the wait.

Attiyq Youm (the Ancient of Days)

Daniel 2:23 (VOICE) I recognize who You are, and I praise You, God of my ancestors, for You have given me wisdom and strength…

Beloved, I AM Attiyq Youm, the Ancient of Days. I have forever been and will forever be. I AM. I have created you. My fingerprints are on the very fiber of your being. Your soul and spirit know and recognize Me instinctively. Give praise for you are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made.

As you ask Me for wisdom, I freely supply it. So ask, beloved, and be ready and willing to listen when I respond. For only a fool would ask a question only to leave before hearing an answer. So quiet your heart, and make room for Me to speak. Then walk in the wisdom you have been given. Continue reading “Attiyq Youm (the Ancient of Days)”

Watch and Wait and See {Moments with God}

{my heart cries} Hear me, Lord. My heart weeps until I feel like I could burst. The aching of this heartache seems endless and unbearable, and yet I know You are faithful. And yet I know I can rest in You. I trust You to bring beauty from these ashes, for You are good and Your goodness will reign forever – like a downpour of rain, Your goodness unfailingly saturates us.

{He whispers} Trust Me. Feel the gentle flow of My Spirit at work. Feel the movement from My breath as I bring life where it seemed nothing could flourish again. I AM the restorer. I AM the redeemer. I bring life, and do so abundantly. Wait and watch and see.

Psalm 17:6 (VOICE) I am crying aloud to You, O True God, for I long to know Your answer. Hear me, O God. Hear my plea. Hear my prayer for help.

Wait and Trust

Psalm 126:5 (VOICE) Those who walk the fields to sow, casting their seed in tears, will one day tread those same long rows, amazed by what’s appeared.

Beloved, though the days and nights of trial feel endless, stand fast and cling to hope. For in a time not too far off, you will stand amazed by the beauty that lies where the ashes once were. For I bring forth life from death, just as a seed – dry and dormant – is sown and brings forth fruit.

So wait and trust. Resist the urge to battle and rage, and instead look to Me in the midst of your storm. Find My gaze and hold it. Just as keeping your eyes on the horizon calms sea sickness, so holding My gaze will steady you in the midst of turmoil. So cling to Me and the hope of who I AM. Trust and wait, beloved. Wait and trust.  Continue reading “Wait and Trust”

Peace in the Waiting

2 Peter 3:14 (TPT) So, my beloved friends, with all that you have to look forward to, may you be eager to be found living pure lives when you come into his presence, without blemish and filled with peace.

Beloved, with so much to look forward to, the temptation is great to be over eager as you wait for the coming promises. And yet, you know that My timing is perfect. And I would have you know peace – peace in the waiting.

Resist the urge to think something is wrong if I haven’t brought my promises to pass and simply trust Me. Trust My timing. Trust I know best, and rest in Me. Refuse to lose the joy of the journey as you eagerly anticipate the next destination point. Instead, embrace each moment with joy as you know peace.

Come Away

Isaiah 60:8 (EXB) The people are returning to you [Who are these who fly…?] like clouds, like doves flying to their nests [shelters; windows].

Beloved, I AM your home, so fly home to Me. Abide in Me. Resist the urge to stay busy. Instead, make time to dwell with Me. Oh the adventures we will have, when you make time for Me.

So run to Me, beloved. In Me, you will soar. Wait upon Me, and rise up on wings like eagles as you soar in the Spirit with Me. Come away with Me, beloved. Come away.
