Season Intentionally

Matthew 5:13 (MSG) Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.

Beloved, choose the flavor with which you season your world. Will you season it with bitterness? Anger? Envy? Greed? Or will you sow liberally righteousness? Forgiveness? Compassion? Joy?

Beloved, choose to bring My flavor to those around you that they might taste and see that I AM God. Make Me known. For you have the choice of whose kingdom you are expanding. Either you are sowing into My Kingdom or you are making room for darkness. So season, and do so intentionally. Bring My flavor to the world.

Make Ready

Revelation 19:7 (VOICE) Now is the time for joy and happiness. He deserves all the glory we can give Him. For the wedding feast has begun; the marriage of the Lamb to His bride has commenced, and His bride has prepared herself for this glorious day.

Beloved, it is time to make ready, it is time to prepare. For glorious days are coming, and you don’t want to be caught unaware. Be intentional to avoid being made foolish by finding yourself lacking with no oil to spare, but rather be filled by My Spirit and overflow in My care.

Just as in the natural a bride expends much time and effort towards the preparation of the marital celebration, so should you be taking equal care in preparing and making room for Me. Behold you are beautiful, My love. My heart is for you and My attention is on you, so reflect the same back to Me.

Matthew 25:1-3 (AMP) Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish [thoughtless, silly, and careless], and five were wise [far-sighted, practical, and sensible]. For when the foolish took their lamps, they did not take any [extra] oil with them,

A Sign and a Seal

Matthew 3:16-17 (VOICE) Jesus emerged from His baptism; and at that moment heaven was opened, and Jesus saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming upon Him, alighting on His very body. Voice from Heaven:  This is My Son, whom I love; this is the Apple of My eye; with Him I am well pleased.

Beloved, welcome My Spirit as a sign and a seal. You are Mine. I have chosen you and drawn you to Myself. I have deposited heaven within you – a portal to heaven as you flow in unity with My Spirit.

So embrace Me, and embrace the things of Me. Watch as I move in unexpected and beautiful ways. For I delight to surprise My children and to show Myself strong and true, for I AM God.

Be a Child

Matthew 19:14 (TPT) Jesus overheard them and said, “I want little children to come to me, so never interfere with them when they want to come, for heaven’s kingdom realm is composed of beloved ones like these! Listen to this truth: No one will enter the kingdom realm of heaven unless he becomes like one of these!”

Beloved, embrace the childlike innocence and unreserved faith of an infant. Allow yourself the unabashed curiosity and unrestrained exuberance of a toddler. Be a child – for you are My child, so look to Me, beloved. Look to Me.

For I welcome your enthusiasm, and I never grow weary of your thoughts. I give you free and complete access to My presence, and I love being your Father. Resist the urge to rein yourself in or try to tone yourself down, you are not “too much” for Me. I love you just the way you are.

Speak in a Way that Reflects Me

Matthew 12:36-37 (TPT) You can be sure of this: when the day of judgment comes, everyone will be held accountable for every careless word  he has spoken. Your very words will be used as evidence against you, and your words will declare you either innocent or guilty.”

Beloved, the power of the words you speak is too great to use them thoughtlessly. Remember you are accountable for each and every word you utter, so be thoughtful and intentional with everything you say. Your words are not simply a reflection of you and your character, but – if you claim to be Mine – they are also a reflection of Me and My character.

What picture would you paint of Me to those around you? One of thoughtlessness or impatience? One of arrogance or pride? One of cruelty or judgment? Beloved, pause and reflect before you speak. Then speak in a way that rightly reflects Me.

Keep Me in Your Midst

Matthew 18:20 (VOICE) For when two or three gather together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.

Beloved, be intentional to keep Me in your midst. For unity and harmony come much more smoothly when everyone is seeking to align with Me rather than their personal agendas. In the end, My Kingdom reigns eternal. That is where your attentions and efforts are best spent.

So choose to focus on Me. For though I move in power, I also move in humility. Power is not an arrogant assertion of one’s rights, but rather an inherent strength that simply is. In the same way true leaders draw followers to themselves whether they’re trying to or not, when you operate in true power, its manifestation will always make itself visible.

So choose to align with Me. Submit yourself in love and humility. Be a vessel of unity – intentionally cultivate harmony. Keep Me in your midst. Then watch as the fruit comes forth and you see My Kingdom increasingly manifesting on earth.

My Eye is on the Sparrow

Matthew 10:30 (VOICE) You, beloved, are worth so much more than a whole flock of sparrows. God knows everything about you, even the number of hairs on your head. So do not fear.

Beloved, never question how precious you are to Me. I know everything about you, and am interested in all of it. You are priceless beyond measure. Resist the urge to doubt My love for you based on earthly circumstances or the words and treatment of men.

Beloved, My eye is on the sparrow. Knowing that I’m mindful of the least of creatures, can you truly believe yourself lower than that? You have been made in My image. So stand tall, knowing you are loved, and trust Me as Lord of all.

Refuse to Be a Fool

Proverbs 18:21 (TPT) Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.

Beloved, use your words to reflect My heart. Resist the urge to indulge your pride, and instead choose to walk in loving humility – be long suffering and extend much grace. For there have been moments you yourself needed patience and grace, and they will come again, so sow that you might reap.

I bring life, and life more abundant, and I desire that you choose to be like Me. So be circumspect, and count the cost before you speak – refuse to be a fool and vent every feeling. Instead, share your heart with Me, and allow My Spirit to lead you through, for I will not lead you astray. Continue reading “Refuse to Be a Fool”

Created with a Purpose

Matthew 5:13 (AMP) You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste (purpose), how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walkways are wet and slippery].

Beloved, you have been created with a purpose for a call. Simply being you – all I’ve created you to be – and yielding to the plans I have for you (which are good plans) demonstrates who I AM. You are created in My image, and created to bear fruit.

What then is the purpose of an apple tree that bears no fruit? It is purposeless, and though secondary (and lesser) use may be found for it, it is not fulfilling its call. In the same way, refuse to settle for anything less than the fullness of all I’ve created you for. Trust Me to lead, yield to My direction, and bear fruit.

Yielded Vessel

Matthew 26:41 (AMP) Keep actively watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”

Beloved, refuse to allow weakness, distraction, or apathy to keep you from responding to My Spirit’s direction. Knowing that you are susceptible to distraction, be all the more alert for My gentle direction.

Regardless of the weakness of your flesh, those whose hearts are fixed on Me have willing spirits; therefore, you are more than able to stay ready to respond to My leading. So move past your acknowledgment of weakness, and rather focus on the strength that comes from Me. Then yield, and allow Me to move mightily through My yielded vessel.
