Resist the Devil

James 4:7 (CJB) Therefore, submit to God. Moreover, take a stand against the Adversary, and he will flee from you.

Beloved, keep your focus on Me. Resist the wiles of the enemy, and he will give up on you and cede your victory. You don’t need to yell and scream at him or shake your fist, instead simply remain focused on Me.

For I AM the power, and you find your strength in Me. So trust Me to bring the breakthrough, for when I set you free, you are unquestionably free. Revel in that freedom and fix your gaze on Me.

John 8:36 (NKJV) Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

John 8:36 (TPT) So if the Son sets you free from sin, then become a true son and be unquestionably free!

Engage with Me and Feast on My Word

3 John 1:4 (NLT) I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth.

Beloved, give Me the gift of obedience. Walk in the truth of My Word. Resist the urge to second guess that which challenges your expectations, and instead learn with an open heart ready to receive My truth. 

Resist the urge to get caught up in the doctrine and arguments of men. Bring your questions to Me. A walk with Me is intended to be about relationship, not rules. So engage with Me, feast on My Word, and grow strong in your faith.

Powerful Praise

Jeremiah 51:20 (VOICE) Eternal One: You are My war club—My weapon for battle; with you I shatter nations; with you I destroy kingdoms;

Beloved, your fiery praise is a weapon in My hand. Your unerring faith and steadfast devotion speak mightily of the hope you have in Me. Your faith is not misplaced, for I AM greater than the human mind could begin to understand. 

And yet, My tenderness for you runs deep. And in the same way you love Me not for the blessings I give, but rather for who I AM, so I love you not for the worship and honor you give, but simply because of who you are: My precious, beloved child. And it is from that beautiful identity that your powerful praise pours forth.

A Living Display of My Faithfulness

Isaiah 61:3 (TPT) …Because of this, they will be known as Mighty Oaks of Righteousness, planted by Yahweh as a living display of his glory.

Beloved, stand proud as a testament to My faithfulness – a living display of My grace and My glory. You will be as steadfast as a mighty oak with roots that go down deep, for I AM your foundation, and you’ve found your hope in Me.

So raise your hands and wave them high, an offering to Me. Be lifted up on eagles wings, and find new life in Me. I AM your strength, and I’m your song – your cry, your victory. Isaiah 61:3 (TPT) …to give them a beautiful bouquet in the place of ashes, the oil of bliss instead of tears, and the mantle of joyous praise instead of the spirit of heaviness…

Beloved, I don’t patch things with a bandaid, or simply smooth things out so you don’t see the trials that were there before, no – I AM a God of radical transformation. I bring beauty from ashes, and joy from mourning. Nothing is too hard for Me.

Beloved, walk in My grace. Dry your tears, for a new season is upon you. The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and joy is found in My presence (Psalm 16:11). So abide with Me, My fair one, and be refreshed and filled.

Beloved, you’ve been set free. Set free from shame and heartache. Set free from pain and fear. No more regrets, My precious one, for I AM making all things new. So embrace the light. Watch the darkness melt away. Be made whole.

I have plans for you, beloved, and they are good plans. Wait and see. So trust your heart in My hands, and step forward into the new with Me. Resist the urge to keep looking back, for more glory is ahead. Embrace what comes, and trust in Me as I manifest My plans. Continue reading “Set Free”

Sweet Aroma of Love

John 14:15 (NKJV) “If you love Me, keep My commandments.

Beloved, the greatest obedience comes from a joyful heart, yielded in love. It isn’t trying to earn anything – not favor or salvation (as though that could be earned), but rather it is given freely, as a gift – unreservedly and with joy.

When a child is young, a good parent teaches them not to lie; and if the child does lie, there are consequences. But when the child becomes an adult, no longer can the parent compel them to obedience or bring punishment for transgression. But what a sweet gift is the adult’s adherence to the parent’s precept. Truly, it is the sweet aroma of love. Just as it is when you choose to make My ways your own, and do so joyfully.

Covered {Moments with God}

Worth the Wait

Proverbs 8:34 (VOICE) The one who listens to me, who carefully seeks me in everyday things and delays action until my way is apparent, that one will find true happiness.

Beloved, wait on Me. I desire to be heard even more than you desire to hear Me. If you take the time to listen, I will ensure that I AM heard. For I love to share with My children. I love when you curl up at my feet – that intimacy is so sweet to Me. So press in, for I AM here.

Wait on My instruction, and listen to My voice. That is the path of blessing, and I will happily show the way. Resist the urge to presume My thoughts or to rely on your own wisdom. Instead, be intentional to wait on Me, for I AM worth the wait.
