Access Granted

Hebrews 10:19-20 (TPT) And now we are brothers and sisters in God’s family because of the blood of Jesus, and he welcomes us to come right into the most holy sanctuary in the heavenly realm—boldly and with no hesitation. For he has dedicated a new, life-giving way for us to approach God. For just as the veil was torn in two, Jesus’ body was torn open to give us free and fresh access to him!

Beloved, access has been granted, so refuse to waste that gift. Approach – approach and do so boldly. You are welcomed into My holy sanctuary, so refuse to hesitate even a moment that you might not miss time with Me. Come and dwell with Me.

Beloved, there is nothing you cannot ask, for I desire to know what is on your heart – whether they be questions, dreams, or simple petitions. I want to fellowship with you, and have gone to great lengths to pursue you. Now you have the opportunity to pursue Me. So with blessing and honor, boldly approach.

Hopelessly Devoted to You {Moments with God}

{I laugh to myself as I repurpose the name of an old song as a loving refrain to God} Hopelessly devoted to You… hopelessly devoted to You. I’m hopelessly devoted to You.

{After pausing to look up the literal meaning to hopeless and finding one of Merriam-Webster’s definitions was indeed accurate with “not susceptible to remedy or cure.”} So true, Father. Nothing can cause my heart towards you to change. In hardships, I draw nearer. In prosperous times, I praise louder. In confusion, I cling tighter. My certainty is steadfast in both that You are real, and that You are a rewarder of those who seek you wholeheartedly. So yes, without question I am happily and wholeheartedly hopelessly devoted to You. May my life be a testament to Your goodness and may it bring You glory.

Hebrews 11:6 (TPT) And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who give all their passion and strength into seeking him.

Withhold Nothing

Hebrews 11:17 (VOICE) By faith Abraham, when he endured God’s testing, offered his beloved son Isaac as a sacrifice. The one who had received God’s promise was willing to offer his only son;

Beloved, withhold nothing from Me. Remember all you have is from My hand. So refuse to be like a dog growling at its  master’s outstretched hand as it enjoys a bone that was gifted from that very same hand. Trust all to Me. Resist the urge to guard or withhold from Me that which you hold dear.

If I instruct you in My Word not to frustrate your children, do you think I will turn around and do the opposite of what I instruct? Trust Me. I give and I take away, but I AM always working for good. Simply because I remove something doesn’t mean you’re “in trouble.” Trust that I AM working for your good.

So be passionate in your faith of Me. Withhold nothing. Demonstrate by your actions the level of belief you have in who I AM and the nature of My character. Let your unreserved faith declare Me worthy to all. Continue reading “Withhold Nothing”

I AM Unshakable

Hebrews 12:28-29 (VOICE) Therefore, let us all be thankful that we are a part of an unshakable Kingdom and offer to God worship that pleases Him and reflects the awe and reverence we have toward Him, for He is like a fierce fire that consumes everything.

Beloved, I AM unshakable. My Kingdom knows no end. I AM a fierce and mighty warrior – a blazing fire and a roaring lion, shaking all that can be shaken so that what may stand firm will remain.

As you are tested in the fires, you need not be afraid. In the valley of the shadow of death, I AM with you – you have nothing to fear. Join forces with Me. Stay by My side and trust Me, for I AM unshakable. Continue reading “I AM Unshakable”

Cultivate Your Heavenly Rewards

Hebrews 10:34 (TPT) You sympathized with those in prison and when all your belongings were confiscated you accepted that violation with joy; convinced that you possess a treasure growing in heaven that could never be taken from you.

Beloved, have mercy. Extend grace and compassion in every circumstance. For you never know when things will shift, and you yourself will be in need of mercy, grace, and compassion. Therefore, sow liberally from a heart full of generous humility and love.

Keep your heart fixed on the things of heaven. For your treasures in heaven cannot be stolen by human hands, destroyed by natural disaster, or negated by human interference. So love well. Bear much fruit. Sow kindness without restraint. Cultivate your heavenly rewards, for they are the ones which will last.

Believe with Absolute Conviction

Hebrews 11:1 (VOICE) Faith is the assurance of things you have hoped for, the absolute conviction that there are realities you’ve never seen.

Beloved, believe in Me with absolute conviction. Have utter faith and confidence in Me and in My Word. I AM fully steadfast and completely faithful. So rest in Me.

Faith is believing even without “proof.” It is trusting in an understanding that transcends the natural mind. For believing that which is fact requires no trust and no belief in anything greater than yourself.

True faith requires humility because it is rooted in hope and undergirded by a childlike belief. It cannot be proved in the way logic would demand, and yet it has strength that surpasses logic. So walk in that radical faith and believe with absolute conviction.

Believe and Obey

Hebrews 11:6 (AMP) But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.

Beloved, believe and obey. Mere faith is not enough. Your faith must prompt you to action, and that action must be righteous and pleasing. It must prompt you to obedience. For faith without works is dead. Indeed, it is a useless faith.

And in the same way you know a tree is good by the good fruit it bears, so your faith is proved good by the sweet fruit it produces. And may your motivation for action not be to gain the rewards that come from Me (though they will surely come), but rather from a heart so full of love for Me that you cannot NOT act.

So beloved, let your faith take form, and act in a way that brings joy and pleasure to Me. And may you relentlessly pursue Me that you might accurately know what that looks like. Continue reading “Believe and Obey”

Devote Yourself to Me

Psalm 92:12 (VOICE) Those who are devoted to God will flourish like budding date-palm trees; they will grow strong and tall like cedars in Lebanon.

Beloved, devote yourself to Me – not because of promised blessings, but simply because you love Me. But trust that blessings will come forth. For I AM, and I AM a rewarder of those who seek Me wholeheartedly.

How can I not want to lavish those I love with blessing? Resist the urge to look with avaricious eyes – only looking for blessing in finances or material things. Realize instead that I bless in a multitude of ways that are far less tangible.

I bless with peace, joy, favor, and so many other ways. So simply devote yourself to Me without focus on what you may gain. But then watch with keen eyes as My blessings abound around you.  Continue reading “Devote Yourself to Me”

Fruit of Your Lips

Hebrews 13:15 (TPT) So we no longer offer up a steady stream of blood sacrifices, but through Jesus, we will offer up to God a steady stream of praise sacrifices—these are “the lambs” we offer from our lips that celebrate his name!

Beloved, may the fruit of your lips pour forth in praise to the One who is worthy. You have a choice of whether or not you bring forth fruit, and what kind of fruit it is. Will you withhold that which I AM worthy of? Or will you give it to another?

Surely as you nurture a heart full of gratitude, you will find yourself unable to hold back your praise. So cultivate a heart of thanksgiving and release your song of joy and love that the fruit of your lips might be sweet.  Continue reading “Fruit of Your Lips”

My Word is Bedrock

Hebrews 10:23 (AMP) Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word];

I AM faithful from generation to generation. My Word is solid and true. My character is unimpeachable. Every promise I have given will come to pass as surely as the sun rises day after day (and in fact even more reliably).

And in the same way you would not beg the sun to rise, but rather simply wait in confidence for it to do so, so you can simply wait on My promises to come to pass without beseeching Me for them to happen. If I have said it, it is so. My word is bedrock.
