Grace and Goodness {Moments with God}

Psalm 86:16 (TPT) Bring me to your grace-fountain so that your strength becomes mine. Be my hero and come rescue your servant once again!

{My prayer} Father, overflow me with Your grace and goodness. May Your mercy and kindness sustain me. I am ever in need of Your help, and I rely on Your steadfast guidance. Thank You for Your seemingly endless patience with me – I feel like I need every last bit. Even when I’m frustrated and disappointed with myself, I feel Your unconditional love pouring over me. So I thank You for Your goodness, and I thank You for Your grace. Thank You for fighting on my behalf, and thank You for protecting me – even from myself. You truly are my hero. You’re righteous, good, and true. For the rest of my days I will spend my life trying to be more like You.

Psalm 86:13-17 (TPT) You love me so much and you placed your greatness upon me. You rescued me from the deepest place of darkness, and you have delivered me from a certain death. God, look at how these arrogant ones have defied me. Like a vicious band of violent men they have tried to kill me. They wouldn’t worry for a moment that they were sinning against you! But Lord, your nurturing love is tender and gentle. You are slow to get angry yet so swift to show your faithful love. You are full of abounding grace and truth. Bring me to your grace-fountain so that your strength becomes mine. Be my hero and come rescue your servant once again! Send me a miraculous sign to show me how much you love me, so that those who hate me will see it and be ashamed. Don’t they know that you, Lord, are my comforter, the one who comes to help me?

More Like You {Moments with God}

Psalm 86:5 (TPT) Lord, you are so good to me, so kind in every way and ready to forgive, for your grace-fountain keeps overflowing, drenching all your lovers who pray to you.

{With a heart filled with gratitude} Father, thank You for Your steadfast love. Thank You for Your overflowing grace. I need it and I receive it. I am grateful beyond words. The magnitude of Your love for me is completely incomprehensible. Your goodness and Your patience are more than I can understand.

{In prayerful petition} Help me to be more like You. Help my heart to mirror Yours. I want to be just like You because the impact of Your grace truly is amazing. So in the same way, may I mirror that grace to those around Me. May I walk in humble patience and understanding. May my heart be filled with compassion. May I be more like You.

{His whispered reply} My grace is sufficient, and My love sustains, so trust Me to see you through. As you yield to My plans and trust in My ways, My hands are molding you. It’s with love that I chasten and grace I extend every time you’re in need. For you are precious and prized – the apple of My eye, and your heart means the world to Me.

Psalm 86:5-8 (TPT) Lord, you are so good to me, so kind in every way and ready to forgive, for your grace-fountain keeps overflowing, drenching all your lovers who pray to you. God, won’t you pay attention to this urgent cry? Lord, bend down to listen to my prayer. Whenever trouble strikes, I will keep crying out to you, for I know your help is on the way. God, there’s no one like you; there’s no other god as famous as you. You outshine all others and your miracles make it easy to know you.

Run with Persistence

Philippians 3:12 (TPT) I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose that Jesus Christ has called me to fulfill and wants me to discover.

Beloved, run the race with passion. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. And yet as you seek excellence, extend grace to yourself when you fall short. Far better to dust yourself off and move forward, than to get waylaid by frustration and condemnation.

It is by grace that you are saved, and for love you give your best. Celebrate each step along the way, for the trials and the victories all serve a purpose. So run the race with excellence, but even more so, run with persistence. Continue reading “Run with Persistence”

No Longer Think of the Former Things

Psalms‬ ‭103:12‬ ‭(AMP‬‬) As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Beloved, when you repent, I forgive. It is as simple and beautiful as that. I understand the holy sorrow you feel at having fallen short of the mark, but resist the urge to try to remind Me of your transgressions over and over again. Truly, once I have forgiven you, it is not a part of how I see you.

If a three year old child spills their milk, does the parent expect them to still be apologizing at age 10? At 20? Of course not. The parent has moved on, and no longer holds that to the child’s account. In the same way, when you repent, I move on with you. There is no benefit in bringing it up repeatedly (in fact there is much harm) even if your purpose in doing so is to apologize. So beloved, no longer think of the former things, but rather keep your eyes ahead and embrace the beauty that is to come.

YHVH M’kadesh (the Lord Who Sanctifies)

Isaiah 1:18 (VOICE) Come on now, let’s walk and talk; let’s work this out. Your wrongdoings are bloodred, But they can turn as white as snow. Your sins are red like crimson, But they can be made clean again like new wool.

Beloved, no sin is so great that the blood of Jesus cannot atone for it. Receive and be made new. Resist the urge to try to hold tight to baggage that has seemed to define you in times past. Release it and walk in the new I have for you.

For I AM Elohim Rachum – the merciful God who loves you and has provided a means of achieving freedom. And I AM YHVH M’kadesh – the Lord who sanctifies, for I AM the Redeemer and the Restorer, the Creator and the mender of hearts. So look to Me, and stand in faith, for behold I make all things new.

Cloaked in Favor and Grace

Proverbs 3:34 (AMPC) Though He scoffs at the scoffers and scorns the scorners, yet He gives His undeserved favor to the low [in rank], the humble, and the afflicted.

Beloved, walk with head held high – not in pride, but rather in the confidence of one who knows they walk in the favor of the Lord. For as you choose a lifestyle of humility, I respond by cloaking you with grace. And as you find yourself afflicted and in times of trial, I cover you with my favor.

Refuse to be distracted by how others choose to live, and instead simply focus on how I have called you to live and on your relationship with Me. Make Me your touchstone, your north star, your strong tower. For I AM steadfast, and My love for you endures from generation to generation.

Trust My Radical Grace

Romans 5:2 (VOICE) Jesus leads us into a place of radical grace where we are able to celebrate the hope of experiencing God’s glory.

Beloved, rest in My radical grace which was freely given to you. Cling fast to hope in seasons of testing, and know My grace is sufficient for all that is before you. I AM faithful, and I AM good. Trust in My mercy as you rely on My grace, for I will see you through.

Trust Me to be glorified even in the greatest trials, for I give beauty for ashes and joy for mourning, so rest in Me. Hope in Me. Cling fast, and trust My radical grace to see you through. Continue reading “Trust My Radical Grace”

Leave a Legacy of Love

Proverbs 10:12 (NLT) Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.

Beloved, choosing to love instead of taking offense is always the right decision. There will always be misunderstandings or people acting from a place of hurt, but how you respond speaks to your character. And as you choose to love, you clearly reflect Me and My heart.

In extending the grace you yourself want to receive, you’re leading by example. And being known for being gracious and loving is a testament of one who knows Me. And beloved, know that you’re leaving a legacy of love that will reach farther and last longer than you can begin to imagine. Continue reading “Leave a Legacy of Love”

Celebrate the Fullness of My Grace

John 1:29 (NKJV) The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

Beloved, rejoice because your sins have been removed. This is cause for celebration. Give praise! Refuse to live as one marred by sin, nor allow it to have dominion in your life any longer.

You have been equipped to resist temptation, and – in the moments you fall short – My grace is there to cover you. So resist the urge to focus on personal shortcomings, and instead celebrate the fullness of My grace.  Continue reading “Celebrate the Fullness of My Grace”

Extend Forgiveness

Matthew 6:12 (KJV) And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Beloved, be known as some who extends much grace and who forgives quickly. In doing so, you reflect My heart to the world around you, and you leave no room for bitterness and resentment to take root.

You have been forgiven much. I hold no record of wrongs though My memory is more expansive and accurate than anyone’s. So follow My example, beloved, and release those who wrong or slight you into My capable hands. Trust Me to act rightly, for I AM the righteous judge. Continue reading “Extend Forgiveness”
